On a more serious note, nice game. It's an interesting introduction to optimization and such, given how little "memory" there is to work with.

No conditionals = not real programming.
Very creative game though and captures some of programming...(been programming for about 25 years)

Last level was too easy compared to 10. Swap level 10 with last level and your game is perfect. I'll give you 5/5 pretending level 10 were last one ^^

Bug with one level? The system do not stop when all places are lighted up but keep turning them off http://imgur.com/y4aaZwl

Didn't realize the level would be able to complete if all tiles were lit when in a recursion loop. It was the only way I could figure out how to solve level 11.

I understand programming is mostly problem solving in the sense of finding solutions with ICT to problems, and in that sense i find level 10 to be a good focus. However, i also believe programming to be repetition through program loops and conditions etc, and in that sense i find level 10 odd to say the least. To me it is less about repeating practical code as setting up a loop that is limited by physical boundaries and that has a lot of wasted processing along the way.(Maybe i made my code too complex, but it was the only way i could get it to work.)

as a programmer, ill say this is notably harder than real programming just due to being restricted to so few functions that cant take any input

A good idea would be to give people access to more commands, so they can complete the level no matter what and then do highscore or leaderboard to have people replay and optimize their commands to slowly get better, rather than get frustrated they cant get the exact commands you need for the solution correct. Just my five cents.

Great game! Ive had much fun playing it, and its very challenging to say the least, even as a programmer. Its a lot easier with more than 2 functions and infinite slots, if you program with, for example, JavaScript. Being a programmer isnt THIS hard.
Some tips to improve the game:
- The drag-drop system is a bit funky
- More music
- More levels
- The ability too use 3 hints (for the people new to programming)
- I think theres a lot more possibility if the blue platforms light up if you walk over it. This frees some slots up for even bigger levels.
- Same with jumping down a platform, why not just walk down (and freeing up a slot) and make bigger levels?

I want to be a programer when I'm an adult... but I bet programers can get past Level 8 without a walkthrough! Ragequit!!!

I exited the game and looked at my profile, and the badges were awarded; they just didn't show up on the game popup ....

I don't understand why I need to push space to go to the next level of an otherwise mouse-only game. I had to test to make sure I understood which the program read (for some reason I was expecting top-to-bottom left-to-right...), so the lighting commands thing suggested in a high comment would be great. It feels a little easier than most drag-n-drop systems I've used to drop in the wrong square, so an undo feature would be nice; if I overwrite something I might not remember what I put there. But those are all little usability issues on top of what looks like a pretty cool puzzle :).

Cute little nerd game. It would be nice if you could play each level over individualy, so you can try to get fewer commends in the higher levels without playing all the easy levels over and over again.

Ok i just finished the game and i gotta say that the harder level is the 10... 11 and 12 were kinda hard (11 harder than 12) but the 10 is about 2 times harder than 11 and 12 together :I

Huh. Lots of commands (199), but took me less than 25 minutes. Not sure if that means I should go into programming or stay far, far away. My love for exact answers and a 9-5 workday says the latter...
