Ping tower ftw. You can complete every level with only ping towers/range. Kind of cool to see the combo moves stack, like crit, slow, +50%dmg etc.

It took me a while to realize I could not only recycle towers but also move them. This opened up a lot of better alternatives to my screw ups than restarting, which helped me keep patience with the game. Bravo, 5/5.

A tower defense with a good story! Looking forward to a sequel.
Kinda wishing it was possible to upgrade the towers themselves AND the add-ons, but the add-ons are wonderful and I can't complain much.
Wish the random add-on color thing wasn't there, I want to be able to add whatever add-on I want.

Best TD i've seen in a long time, and one with an actual story-line, its good and makes this game unique and able's us (The player) to follow and have a purpose, 5/5

This wouldn't be inspired by Tron, would it? If so VERY COOL! The aesthetics in the movie were beautiful, and the game seems to be matching. Add a nice little story and unique twists and you have a great TD game. Excellent, and looking forward to more!

HARDCORE MODE: Just played through without using sentries, not even once. Makes getting all data cores a bit harder:) Recommend for added replay value and a totally new way for playing levels without obvious I-win button.

Playing the game itself, I felt it was nice, showed a few new ideas, and I rated it 4/5
...then when I got to the ending, just that was enough to push it up to 5/5 :P

I played this all the way through without using walkthroughs.
The concept of not losing memory when moving or recycling was probably the biggest thing to get used to. You can just move towers!
Really a very good game. I spent way too many hours on it. :P

this is the first td game that has a real storyline.... and it is better than upgrading with such a variety of add ons. great game. 5/5 like

Wonderful game! The gradual progression is nice, and the storyline keeps you interested. I really liked the monster mode at the end (I guess this might be a precursor to a continuation of the game if all the other AIs are out to get you). All in all, I'd give it an A+! Good job guys, keep up the great work!

@Mr_Happy_NL: That's funny, I never thought of using that strategy to win a level. Of course on the downside you can't unlock the bonus levels by getting all the data cores using that strategy.

Wow, I'd already given it a 5 before playing the excellent bonus levels. It is well worth playing past the badges. Well done.

finsihed the game compleatly (all cores and the monster mode) man its a great game, the idea of adding aspects is great and am looking forward to the next one!

@osanseviero: Can you explain how the walkthrough is wrong? Keep in mind you do need to use the Garbage Collector to clear some of the spaces. If you're still having trouble you can always switch it to the easy difficulty.

A TD game that requires tactical finesse without being overloaded by ridiculous amounts of variety at the beginning. One of the smoothest and most entertaining difficulty curves I've seen, not once was i bored from repetitive gameplay. Well done.

New strategy I just discovered: First make a tracer tower with beam + range + slow + whatever. This will collect all the mobs into one clump. Next, make a sentry tower with beam + multiplier + battery near the end of the level, and as soon as the group gets in range it goes PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW and kills them in the blink of an eye. :D Try it, its fun!

Great Game! Incredibly balanced and challenging without being frustrating. The memory, or money, system was good for forcing you to buy strategically and place wisely (even though you can mov your towers after placing. Great TD and Good Job!

I initially gave this game 4 out of 5, but I'm bumping it up to full marks for sheer inventiveness of the creeps. The strategies necessary to defeat each are the most varied I've seen in quite some time, if ever.

Wow, and just when i though i had had it with TD games...
Well made, both gameplay, story and visuals. Take away the quality of one of those, and it would still be on my top 3 list of TDs of the year =)

annie034: Try leave the medics alone until the end of the level. If you're still having trouble try checking out the walkthrough.
Skyangelc: Where exactly is the walkthrough for level 25 failing?
captingray: I think someone else mentioned that problem. I'll try looking into this later.

I didn't quite get it... Also, my best combo was a few sentries with linker, fork, and range/splash (I prefer splash). Get 3 nearby and you have an epic stunlock combo! Linker, fork and slow also works.

Gave the game a 5 but I enjoy TDs overall Things that I liked most: various enemy types and map builds encourage (even require) the use of different strategies, on some maps tower placement, cleaning the "corrupt" sectors and creating the proper tower combos were key, I admit I checked a walkthrough in one level and I was greatly surprised how one of the aspects I ignored changed the entire gameplay. I also liked both the humour in the websites' description and the more serious plotline between the levels, Immortal Defense it ain't but it still had a couple strong points, I would love to see the idea developed further. Things that I didn't like so much: I think certain towers (sentinel) tend to dominate the game a little bit too much while others are somewhat neglected, I would also like to see a few special levels with perhaps some special conditions though in this case I admit to being spoiled by the variety in the rest of the game.

Today, dystopia is related to cyberpunk fiction, which deals with the idea of urbanization, urban decay, the switch from Europe to Asia as the center for economic strength and the loss of individuality within society. It deals a lot with the idea of a culture that is based around corporations, not only in the values, but also in regard to who has the power.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
A dystopia is the theoretical opposite of a utopia. Instead of a place that is perfect in all regards, you have a place with massive flaws but is still a functioning society, although one that is going to collapse or is currently collapsing.

For an awesome rave party, try this: on level 23, let the medics live. Put a Tracer in the very middle, with RGGB placers. Load it with Beam + Fork(x2) + Linker. Sweet! Looking for functionality? Spamming Sentry + Splash + Optimizer(x2) is my favorite method of clearing out baddies. Fun game!
