The game mechanics are a pain. This needs much better configuration. I didn't bother to use any of the mines or explosives until level 37 normal, because the lost time in moving off the playing area, grabbing the item, and placing it simply takes too much time. By the time I have to use the bombs, they're barely more effective than my firearm. I can't imagine how this is supposed to work on a harder mode.
Also, it's silly to use stone-age key bindings. Let me configure the movement and shooting keys, and at least give me hot keys to choose the bombs and mines.
Finally, there should be a description of the monster mechanics somewhere. Don't leave me guessing as to what these critters are supposed to be, or what aspects of the graphics I'm supposed to avoid.
This is a good start, but I'm just tired of playing the beta version. "Badge of the Day" should be reserved for more mature games. This one isn't far -- one or two upgrade releases should do it.

The "Best so Far" is slow and I died when I was just about to enter wave 31, I hope I got the badge cause' it's still counting my waves.

Okay; I played on normal mode, got 14 flags, and then had to wait about 8 levels for one of the taken flags to clear so I could claim it again. Then the software didn't respond for a while, and I knocked off 1.5 waves while it was figuring out that I was on the flag stand. Finally, I got the flag while I was knocking off wave 40, the iron fists, and I added the point to the fire rate.

:( 3/4th of the way through lvl 29 and it stops responding, leaving me to get mauled just before i get the achi......... good game but that's gonna bug me for a while

Seriously... follow dylmani555's comment on the glitch. Hold spacebar and stand still for it to work, and you will COMPLETELY destroy any wave as long as you only upgrade rate of fire+damage.

Soooo, I was at my work-study and decided to go for the Badge of the Day. Decided it would be smart to try a lower level badge first and get the hang of the game. Fourteen flags raised, something came up for 30 seconds, and I died. One flag short. fml.

It seems the game updates the wave you have beat at a very slow rate so when you beat say wave 31 pause the game and let it catch up to you to get the BOTD. That's what I had to do

The game crashed on me during the "score submitted" screen after clearing challenge mode, and it did not reward me the badge either =(

Challenge map isn't as hard as it looks. Got the badge on the 2nd attempt at it. You just have to keep moving. I got 5 flags and upgraded it on Max Damage.

@Naliya It's actually not that tough. As dylmani555 said in that top comment, hold down SPACE and you will capture, heal, and shoot MUCH faster. Simply stand near a flag, hold down space, and sit still and shoot while enemies come to you. Focus upgrading your damage first and, when it's maxed at 18, focus mainly on fire rate. You should have it in no time.

the easiest way to get the badge is to capture bases wait as long as possible then move on leading them along the edge of the map also spend all your points on damage and fire rate mostly damage though

How to win challenge easily!
go to a flag as soon as it game starts, upgrade damage to the max then upgrade rate of fire (speed is useless). Make sure that you're always capping a flag unless there are to many enemies!
p.s it takes a while for the achievement to update to 30

While paused, the waves keep going. Just finished a level? Need a drink? Pause to get drink, come back, next immediately comes. =/
So you're thinking, maybe everything else kept going to? Nah. Still at same health. Standing on health pad. =/

ok well i raised maybe 50 flags on all difficulties... and didnt get that badge.. the badge of the day should be based on games that clearly work and have been tested

I beat challenge mode, upgraded weapon first to 12 then upgraded fire rate to 7, then I just maxed out my weapon, after that I increased my fire-rate continuesly, eventually I was shooting so fast I beat challenge mode, but my computer starting lagging so I had to refresh. lol

Try dymalni555's tip if youre having problems. If you hold space while standing still, you will capture/heal faster, and shoot a lot faster. Managed to capture 11 points, and keep the board mostly clear, while surviving til lvl 30 for the badge.

Hmm... beat the challenge mode a half hour ago and still just saying 29 is the highest ive gone. Also the achievements all mark down that you've beaten easy mode no matter which difficulty you pick.

so i am on wave 32 on challenge mode right now. and my game just froze. only 26 has reported so far. so i dont get the badge? thats upsetting

I think the best way to get to level 30/40 is go directly to a flag hold space, don't move until the wave is defeated. then go to the next flag etc (try to get an extra flag if possible between the waves.
The firs waves will be difficult, but if you're still alive at wave 16 (at best you have 15 power and 16 rate) then keep on doing it and the rest wil be easy.
If you do it by this strategy it is best to have always one more rate than power (and 0 speed)
NOTE: try to get the bad placed flags (most left) on weak waves; and find a good spot for the hard waves
also: while you are at the upper left flag a lot of the fingers firering will be stuck on the corners and can often still be hit

Pretty bland in all honesty. I like the character design, but the action is pretty flat and the collision boxes on explosions are quite disastrous. It really bugs me that the '30' badges are usually on games with fundamental issues.
