I enjoy the game but I can see room for a few changes to make the game more enjoyable.
First, after you have built one of the shipyards being able to change the type of ship being built would be nice. This might also be a good idea for the turrets as well?
Second, being able to see the build grid would be very nice
Third, having the map larger then the build area would allow us to make full use of the build space. When we start close to an edge I find that the controls prevent me from using all of the build space

All you need: hit pause right at the beginning to build you bases. Press Q for fighterbay hotkey. alternate making miners and freeze drones. done and done

The only strategy you need is: build three or four generators, then spam-build interceptors plus a few gunships and a few bombers if there are buildings to destroy. Most levels are won before you even think about building medium-sized ships.

Fun game.....but rarely makes sense to use capital ships or turrets. Once you figure out miner fighter/physics lab spam (with few interceptors sprinkled in), game loses all strategy...

I know this is going to get groans and Please Dont's from people but please can you improve the heat damage level AI, is in make them add a few repair turrets to their bases.

4:Mining. Maybe revamp it: create a mining dock, and then you pay PER ASTEROID to launch a mining drone. Generators trade space for energy. Mining should trade risk of fragile mining drones for money.
Slowing the game down will also make it so that you can add functionality and strategic elements.... like putting way points on your ship's attack paths... or assigning patrol paths for a few ships to go flank... or if you add a more fleshed out mining system, a way of protecting those assets.
Even having special areas on the map that give a large resource bonus for controlling it... spending money time and assets to get these make a game interesting.
love the potential, and we need more strategy/large fleet/army RTS's on Kongregate. Keep it up!

To make the game actually be strategic, you need to slow the pace down. I don't feel like there is any skill to the game, and no forgiveness. You either win or lose depending on the first 3 buildings you place. I can't appreciate any of the battles, or even what's happening, because I'm too focused on spamming buildings.
1: less resources at the beginning. This will make deciding to spend money on small, cheap rushing ships actually important, or building more infrastructure.
2: In each game, make unlocking ships cost energy. This will make each game have stages: Small ships, mid ships, big fleets.
3: Buildings should have more HP, but also should take time to build. Right now, I'm pausing the game every few seconds to build a wall.... that's silly.
You should give time to invest in defence/offence. Walls should last more than a few seconds, and this will make battles longer, more exciting. Also repair bots will have a purpose!

once you have the stardock with the light carrier the game its like won...after a few seconds the map its like full of little carriers killing instantly everyhing .

Could you please make infestors less overpowered? They take down my double line of upgraded fortified barricades in a second and then turn my turrets and buildings against me even with cheesy fighters.

Until Difficult 60 Interceptor Spawn will work fine: 4 Interceptor bays, Reactor, many Interceptor bays. Works very well for Defense level, including final level.

I just want to go on the record : to programmers: games that have to cheat SUCK. It isn't challenging, or whatever other terms you might use. being 2" away from the enemy, they start out fully built, and you have to try to build as fast as possible with nowhere near enough points when they started out with about 5k from their defenses (looks like it). Then you get automatically wasted by infestation even with upgrade. Think about what you program, seriously. I mean thank you for the time you spent on making the game, but try realistic expectations when programming instead of giving me peashooters with 3 peas while the enemy uses 200 nukes.

Starport with supercarrier = instant victory. Bonus points if you build it and then spend all the rest of your money on physics labs.

I can't get the medium achievement, I've completed the game twice and I just started a 3rd save to try and get it but even after unlocking all of the turrets it still won't give me it..

So I was wondering, the hard badge is beating the final mission, or every mission then that one? Cuz I beat the final like 6 times and I don't have the badge yet... The final is easier than some of these missions.

Hey do you think you could put the hotkey numbers/letters over the buildings because its kind of difficult to remember the hotkeys for fighterbay/stardock etc

This game is great, I absolutely love it. But the other then the difficulty not really represented by the numbers, annoyances like the pincer level were you get the rockets, everytime I get to were I want, I'm devoured by a black hole in the background that literally takes a minute to come in range to eat you. Other then stuff like that, 5/5, without much question.

Easiest way to win: In the beginning, make reactors and walls all the way outside, at the maximum where you can build. Add rockets behind the walls. Then spam little gunships and build repair turrets where necessary. The gunships will inhibit the growth of the enemy (because it is overpowering in the beginning). Best if done with heavy industry upgrade.

Possibly the most interesting game in terms of difficulty. Solid game overall, great system for progression, well thought out upgrades, the necessity of fighting new battles for more credits to get new upgrades (I like that, prevents farming levels to just blast through the harder levels later). But the difficulty...... I've just stopped paying attention to the number since it's rarely representative of the actual difficulty. It's nice to have a challenge, but some of the levels are just flat out ridiculous. "Oh, you started out with 2100 energy? Well I started out with a fully built fleet of capital ships a two dozen long range turrets. Have fun!"

Its only a weak AI till you hit the 80+ levels. Final fight is easier then many of the high tier battles, even without capital ships or the physics lab

In later missions, just build starport with super carrier at the start. I find that is enough to win. For final mission, build one starport and one reactor at the start. Slowly add more reactors, physics labs and starports for an easy win.
