Ayelis, while I agree that the barricade and shield are useful, I find that you only really need one of them, allowing you to pick up the constructor for increased space. Given how quickly you can rebuild destroyed barricades, I use these over the shield.

Word of the wise; The barricade and shield are such basic structures that it is almost impossible to play without either of them. The goal, then, is to figure out how to maximize your defense and DPS, in the space you are given...

I'd like to see a feature where you can hold all ships on the launch pads once they're built (stalling production temporarily) to coordinate ship assaults instead of sending them out willy-nilly.

While Space for Pause would be nice, I'd prefer P for pause, or both. There's a keyboard shortcut for almost everything else... Though honesly, K for Kill-structure is kind of kounterintuitive until you get used to it. Maybe pop up a button too?

I love how repair turrets can heal themselves, most repairing, anythings, in tower defense and other games CAN'T heal themselves, so it's a great boon.

Defense missions are easy if you have lots of min and repair turret. Just build a reactor and about 6 repair turrets in a two rows near your base and reactor. The way waves are planned means you have to kill the first tiny wave of fighters to continue. Well don't kill them then! Just wait them out repair will fix your up and then you can spam capital ships when you have enough money lol

PLEASE GIVE A WAY TO DESTROY BUILT BUILDINGS. (perhaps for 25% 0r 50% energy back from salvaging) And space for pause I second that!

i dont even use barricades or start with reactors anymore, as soon as i have my physics lab i use it to build loads of miners which means an incredible amount of energy. combined with freeze drones they could take down even the biggest bases as long as they dont have aoe ships or defences :P

It get's easy after you get the constructor building, then you can swarm Mining Ships and reactors for easy growth, and a few freezing ships to keep the weak Miners from getting overwhelmed, won most of the last missions like that.

I think I'm going to scratch my last comment... I got the like the 2nd to last level when I ran into a green base with enough resources to fill his entire available build space within 15 sec. This includes 3 reactors, 6 capital facilities and 18 fighter bays (I counted)... and 3 physics labs.
He spews out an armada of capital ships every 4 seconds. What the heck am I supposed to do with 2.8k energy? I can build a supercarrier + a physics lab but they get overwelmed before leaving my base's range so that's an instand death senstence. The closest I got to beating him was by having 6 light carrier spawns and 4 physics labs... which he just overran.

The light cannon mission is goddamn impossible, both the blue and yellow team focus me with bomber swarms right away and there is nothing I can do about it.

Fascinating game, bought the premium already and is well worth it!
But please make the other races playable! They look really cool and have different units and stuff and I definitely want to play them too! +1 if u think so too please :P

Okay now putting bases within turret range is a cheap shot after all they seem to have any finds they need to out build the player.

Sorry but this game is stupid. I get defeated with my base fully intact. There are no mission objectives to tell me why I lost or how to win.

PS. How do you zoom in? I loved watching these space battles in OE1.

Hehe, i found a "cheat" for the defence missions... dont kill the first wave, just make some repair turrets and wait untill you have loads of energy ;)

I really liked this game.. Defense missions were my favourite.. would love a sandbox/eternity mode, because victory always come before i finish my base :p

Other than the repair turrets not prioritizing well, the only complaint that I have is that you cannot direct your ships, and that they often do not care if your base is being attacked, they will still wander off to where someone else's base is.
Overall 4/5 game.

Too difficult. If you and your enemy were on an equal starting point, that'd be much better. Instead, they are swarming you by the time your allowed to do anything. I can't count how many times I've been killed because the game lags, and during that lag, the enemy gets to do anything they want while your base is just getting wiped out.

A technique that is proving disappointingly useful, especially on duel waves, is "just build fighters." Don't build anything else - no energy, no turrets, zilch! Just interceptors and whatever other kind of ship you need - bombers for the bio-foe, etc.

for the last level create two physics labs, a starport making super carriers and for safety surround your base with barricades if you like. (one layer is perfectly enough as your carriers kick ass) Its a 100% success rate (unless you've done something wrong)

Oh, btw, careful with using too many physics labs. In one map, I surrounded my main base with fighter spawners, placed loads of physics labs, and you know how fighters sometimes make big explosions?
Well, the entire stream of fighters became a fuse, my main base the bomb.
