in the defense missions, the little ships always seem to blow up half my base while the medium ships hardly do anything at all. could you lessen the damage of exploding ships?

I just love this game! I've gone back to it play it again like 10 times since its release! I'm excited to hear about a third one!

defense levels have more then a couple issues. once you get your base completely established, the overload of ships causes some pretty serious lag issues. especially when you use carriers and there are thousands upon thousands of fighters going in and out of your screen.

to beat the lv84 duel next to the last fight; use 3 physics lab spread out in the rear, and spam interceptors spread out in front of the base.

I really like the game. But i simply cannot complete the mission, that would grant me the Singularity (Skirmish, 85 difficulty). No matter which strategy i try I fail >.<
Has anyone some hints for me?

Some level need a different strategy to be beaten
For example in one level your base is very close to the enemy base, and the ai beat you by spamming missle rack, i had to move the base away using command center to win
Also some weapon are unfair, for example if a single acid fighter get past your defense, it will take down several structure (even big ones)
The general strategy i used to beat the level is to use barricade in the front line then spam tank ship and interceptor, expand the base and go for assault carrier.
In the next game i'd like to see the structure stats (like range, damage, fire rate) otherwise you need a lot of trial and error to figure it out. For example i still don't know if i am better of with 4 small power generator or a big one since there are no power meter
Another thing i'd like are the count down for the black hole instadeath and a fix for the minimap in the foreground
I really like this game overall, i'd like to see a sequel!

I'm not a big fan of how the explosions will travel all the way back through your troops and across your base. I like building physics labs and fighters and flooding the enemy but on the later levels all it takes is for one to die and then they all blow up. Not only that but the new fighters fly into the explosion and I end up with this slow moving explosive wave of death creeping towards my base, and when it reaches home, everything goes boom. One fighter to end them all.

Clearly, the bigger threat is from the asteroids that are hovering near my base then the enemies that are attacking my base. Somewhat, I think my A.I. controlled ships are so dimwitted that they think the enemies are the static objects near by just like the asteroid and not the actual enemies themselves..

Where are the credits due to the fact that I want to see who made the music and the art. Also for the graphics, there needs to be lower graphics since my CPU is more slower to process the explosions and the ships. Also, the turrets needs to be prioritized at the bigger enemies then just the small weak ones and healing turrets need to heal the main base as first priority instead just a turret of a minor shield. Playing other classes might be fun and well and make the endings be different from the other classes. Also a countdown for the black hole would be so much easier then determining how big the black hole and how long you would have to fight before it sucks everyone and everything off the map (a cheat is that is known is to pause the game when it is in the midst of nearly destroying everything on the map and place a unit on it and you win since your base is the last to be "destroyed"). I think that is all that I want to say...

@incursioner: That is a real phenomenon known as fratricide, where the debris of an explosion triggers more explosions(especially among groups of missiles).

The most annoying thing about this game to me is the fact once there's a explosion it just on keeps on going through my basic ships, but this must be how you meant it to be.

1. Why are you the target always? 2. Why are infested enemies so overpowered? if a carrier get infested it's pretty much game over because it infests everything with a stream of drones 3. Why do enemies get overpowered bases and 10x faster building than you

do enemies have any resistances at all? my tankship make my enemies die eventually and freezeships kill almost everything without damage.Infestation, different story.

want to infect your enemy but they keep detroying your aliens? frezing will leave then vulnerable and do little damage.

important thing though-the command base needs to be in range not another turret alone. killing the command base makes it to where they can't build anything. you can also use siege ships but the enemy will get a base up before the siegeships get built

Tip- if you can; unlock singularity guns and place them so the enemy's base is in the range of the guns. The singularity cannons will kill the base and eventually the rest of the turrets and fighter bays

could there be ways to better organize your fighters other than to send them head-first into battle like orbit your base or attack a certain team first?

k is to destroy your unit/building. Be mindful however, its creates a small explosion that deals damage to nearby units(not very deadly)

Reduce the chance of infection on yourself i mean seriously my base gets infected because of 1 little drone getting to it and so i lose the level. the anti-infestion upgrade doesn't do to much either also on some levels enemles have to have at least 8000 energy when you have 1500 to start still gets a 3/5 but please fix those things

Wait a second... a rocket launcher has missiles that 1-shot fighters, and interceptors have the same type of missiles... i guess interceptors 1 shot other fighters too

@duke, learn how to play. They build everything at once, you PAUSE and build everything at once, based on the situation.

Ayelis, might I recommend building each group of factories while the game is paused so the ships will all launch at once?

Ayelis, while I agree that the barricade and shield are useful, I find that you only really need one of them, allowing you to pick up the constructor for increased space. Given how quickly you can rebuild destroyed barricades, I use these over the shield.

Word of the wise; The barricade and shield are such basic structures that it is almost impossible to play without either of them. The goal, then, is to figure out how to maximize your defense and DPS, in the space you are given...

I'd like to see a feature where you can hold all ships on the launch pads once they're built (stalling production temporarily) to coordinate ship assaults instead of sending them out willy-nilly.

While Space for Pause would be nice, I'd prefer P for pause, or both. There's a keyboard shortcut for almost everything else... Though honesly, K for Kill-structure is kind of kounterintuitive until you get used to it. Maybe pop up a button too?

I love how repair turrets can heal themselves, most repairing, anythings, in tower defense and other games CAN'T heal themselves, so it's a great boon.
