in case everyone is wondering why they bought all the upgrades and havent infected 120% of the population, it's because this game isin't about having all the upgrades. while some are very helpful in killing victims and infecting others, it makes the disease so much more noticeable. it's almost like a stealth game, having great power will blow your cover, but having none at all will be no good either.

Scientist: we have developed a vaccine for these disease that causes sneezing. Assistant: great now how about we make a cure for those with the virus. Scientist: what are you talking about? we don't need to cure them. just let the disease evolve and become lethal

Start as parasite, sell all starting symptoms, upgrade all resistances to 2. Upgrade drug resistance to 4. Upgrade your transmissions, water first. Once each continent/region is infected then start purchasing symptoms, vomiting and sores are good. Fever is better. That's the easiest way to win. You'll win in approx. 200 in-game days.
Alternatively, start with a virus and do the same strategy, except you'll need to upgrade your resistances more and pay closer attention to where ships and aeroplanes visit from your starting region and upgrade resistances accordingly to maximise your infection. Happy holocaust. :)

To get Madagascar and win the easy way:
- Make a Parasite that is COMPLETELY invisible (no spreading or symptoms upgrades).
- Upgrade drug resistance to at least 2-3.
- Upgrade all other resistances to at least 3.
- Collect evolution points until the first preventive action is taken by some country (maybe later if you don't have enough for the next step)
- Do a full-on breakout (airborne, waterborne, rodent and insect, where water is the most important).
- Upgrade resistance (still no symptoms).
- After everything is upgraded, start randomly giving symptoms.
By that point, the world will be pretty much infected...
DONE.

strange, i named the disease stupidity and no one even cared and it spread across the world, it wasnt lethal...until i used my extra 60 evolution points XD

I was about to restart my game since Madagascar had shut down its borders and shipyards and it wasn't infected (Though everywhere else was), but then I noticed it had gotten infected a split second before the shipyards closed. I have never been so happy to see people get infected by a deadly disease.

1.) Pick Virus. 2) Start in Canada, New Zealand, Cuba, Greenland, West Europe, or Madagascar. If you do not get there restart. 3) Sell the starting symptoms, and buy sneezing (unless it is what you started with, just keep it). 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances but no transmissions (they trigger closures). 5) Once four countries are infected, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes its shipyards/borders or is not infected in 30 days, restart. 7) Buy all four drug resistances AND sneezing, coughing, and vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tiers 2-3, (do not buy tier 4 ever!) keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, and hypersensitivity. Then save for kidney failure and ataxia. 10) keep this comment alive.

So, what happens when I have everybody infected, but can't actually kill them, so they are left with some horrible disease that does nothing. Damn me, and my lack of points to kill them.

nowhere is safe in the event of a real pandemic, just because its hard to infect in the game, doesnt mean in real life Madagascar cant be infected, get real folks.
