The irony fate has placed on me. I started playing this game three years ago. I struggled for weeks but couldn’t infect Madagascar. Today I come back for the first time, and had the luck of getting Madagascar as my starting point. Overjoyed and reasonably skeptical, I came to a realization why it is insanely and stupidly impossibly for anyone to infect Madagascar. I sat there staring at my monitor as Madagascar slowly and slowly became 95% infected BEFORE ANY GOD FORSAKEN SHIP EVEN CAME TO HARBOR. After 60 days, a ship hit harbor and then went on its merry way infecting the rest of the world and it was no more than 10 days, every country in the world was infected. I smiled, threw points into everything leading to death. I waited. I chuckled. I waited, several days passed; I erupted into an uncontrollable mad laughter as the countries became forsaken. The third badge was rewarded for my work. My first attempt at this game after three years prevailed. I thank you, people responsible.

I feel sorry for the guy on Greenland ship who left port to discover.... all the others were closed and when he returned to his country to discover that everyone was dead and yet somehow they closed their port also, so what is he to do? I'LL SAIL AROUND IN A TRIANGLE TILL ALL THIS PASSES! *disease has wiped out all humans* D=

Sorry for double post, but... at the start of the game. "Disease arrives in Madagascar." This is the happiest day of my life.

(Repost) A sum up: 1. When 60-70 mil infected, reactions from nations start to happen. 2. Hardest places to infect, besides Madagascar, is Greenland, NewZeland, Cuba, Indonesia, Japan (no land borders) and even Peru (no airport, or seaport). 3. Spreading to other countries starts when some percentage of the people are infected, so leaving that country, transfers the virus. Best strategy (85-95 day ending) is: Good place to start one of the above i mentioned, with best Greenland (55000 pop). No other symptoms besides sneezing at beggining. You sell sneezing when 4 counties has infected. A Virus with only level 1 resistance cold, heat, moisture. NOT drug. NO transmission ways either, cause they trigger reactions faster. Let the days past, and with luck too, you may infect all countries before reach 100-200 mil infected wordwide. When you infect all countries, get Drug to level 3 or 4, and only up to tier3 symptoms. Take as many as you can except Sweating, Nausea, Dementia and Depression

If the disease DOES NOT have symptoms, it should not be able to cause alarm ANYWHERE in the world. Can this be fixed? Yes, it might make the game easier, but the way it is now is slightly infuriating; to be as careful as virtually possible and still fail. Love the concept, though.

My god... I saw "government of Madagascar shuts down shipyards due to prevent infection" and lost hope... Then a ship that WAS ALREADY BOUND FOR MADAGASCAR docked and I saw it... "Disease spreads to Madagascar"

yay i started in madagascar, so the hardest country is infected from the start...
day 67: finally a ship left the country. only 5k healthy people in madagascar while the rest of the world doesnt even know about the disease x)

Why do the boats just like, randomly float around? Madagascar wouldn't be half as hard if the boats actually had semi-intelligent senses of direction.
