Most impossible badges aren't exactly impossible: they mainly require either a lot of dedication (there's a Gems Tower Defense impossible badge which is considered impossible purely for the sheer amount of time it takes to get it) or the ability to quickly learn and master a new skill. Which makes sense, since the badges are supposed to encourage people to try their best in some casual games, not frustrate people about not being specially talented in what in the end is just a form of entertainment.

Ha, got the medium badge. Just played a number of times until I got 5 of them easily and early in the game, then it was rather simple. Usually it's rather impossible though.

Something that helped me that I thought I would share. If you click the empty pixel in the top left corner of the capital 'A' in "Try Again" your mouse pointer will be floating almost dead center ahead of your ship and you can use it as a guide for dodging obstacles.

@beeble2003 indeed, you don't understand, you don't understand what you're talking about.
btw game doesn't lag on my ff50 (well, almost)

Maybe I should switch to a ten years old computer, because I'm getting the random lag. Why does it work for some people and not others?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Heh, I've got a 15 year old PC, with an idle game running in another tab, and there's no lag whatsoever. Still can't get the damn BOTD, but that's coz I suck at this game :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I don't understand people complaining about lag. This game is nearly ten years old so if it lags on a modern computer, that computer must be set up really badly.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Too much input lag, not even WASD support, and not even a restart option for when you get screwed by the randomly-generated levels. Why is some phoned-in game like this a BOTD?

Clue for medium badge: purples appear randomly after acceleration 3. One could be lucky and get 10 of them early. Safe way: Don't focus on scoring in the early accelerations at all, but on survival. Aim only for "safe" purples and collect mainly white (invulnerability) and blue (shield refills) to get to/past the emp-mines. From there it's purples only. Hope that helps.

The 15 point badge is not easy, medium or difficult. As purple orbs appear randomly, they may appear quickly, with little change of course needed, or they may appear slowly, behind obstacles, or never! Anyway...RAGEQUIT.

Let me just curl up into a ball upon the realization I'm going to be here a loooong time trying to get this impossible badge.

This game has the worst controls I think I have ever seen. It's like, the only reason it's hard, because controlling SUCKS
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Managed to get just a few hundred less than 30 000 without taking damage, then later getting more than 30 000, but realizing that mines count as collision, but now, 2½ years after first playing, I finally got the impossible badge

Eh, it's not really a hard game. It's the lack of decent controls and inability to control the quality that make it so tough. It is by no means fast like the auto-acceleration makes it out to be, you just have controls that delay both before and after you use them, and you have a hit box that is significantly larger than you are. Other than that it's like any other game of its kind out there. Except you can't quick reset. 3/5

Sorry, but when there's a game with a "take no hits" badge, and there's no R for restart, or even any way to restart short of dying, you blew it. 3/5.
