The thing I love about these games is that they provide you with structure. You play the way the game wants you to play. I love that I can't make my own decisions. BTW, GTA V is coming out soon.

To get your 1000 power, skip thru the chapters doing as many missions as you can with no combat, from your character page, go to pacts and powers, and get married and bethrothed for 200 easy points and don't build any buildings until you know you need them. [+] this so others don't have to suffer.

This is one of the worst examples I've ever seen of this type of game. After about an hour, you can't play anymore without waiting for 15 minutes, and that ratio gets worse the more you play. And the rate of earning silver coins in comparison to the amount of silver coins needed to upgrade the buildings is quite literally laughable. For the love of God I wish Kong would stop badging these pieces of crap.

All the top rated comments are increbily negetive, yet this game's rating adverage is 3.9 which leads to believe that either some people like it and aren't vocal, that something fishy is going on, or that People who really dislike it are only rating it 3 or so.
We have thousands of Kong players who have been with us for months helping us improve the game over time with their awesome feedback and constructive bug reports. The new influx of Kong players seem to all want 'badges' and become impatient when those aren't quickly or easily obtained. Patience is a virtue in a game like Ascent. Winter is coming...

For those having issues with bugs such as quest windows being unresponsive, and various buttons not working: Try switching your browser to Chrome. That helped me get past some major issues with this crap game.
by the way, Shame on you Kongregate for giving this game badges. Your standards are usually Above reproach.

I've lost five quests that I had a better than 70% chance of beating today. Sort your stupid RNG out so people can stop sucking on horrific results and massive downtime from injuries.

i think i would have more fun if the game actually worked after loading the 100%. and im not gonna switch to a different browser. somehow all other games are fine. shame, i wanted to give it a go

1/5 I'ts extremely buggy,the facebook players are overpowered,You can't take silver from the taxing house (making the game unplayable due to this bug),the staff of the game don't care as long as they are paid by the suckers who don't know how bad the game is and realize that this game SUCKS compared to the t.v series and the books.Out of all the games you could of made you made a facebook pay-to-win wait-to-play game.This game doesn't belong on kongregate.

It's sad that there are a lot of people who can't play but their rating doesn't get reflected due to a filter. The game is really buggy, 2/5 because I've seen worse MMOs.

The whole getting others to help from Kon does not appear to work. It just keeps spinning and never appears to send requests.

It is a bit frustrating that you can't set a queue of items to be produced. Every 20 minutes I have to log back in just to tell it to make another stone. Bah, boring...

Under IE the tutorial tooltip is not clickable, so I'm stuck in the prologue part 3, unable to send the sworn sword on mission. And the game doesn't load on FF. When a game is so bothersome to play I never give it a good grade.

Is there a version of this game without all the waiting? Its an interesting concept with a good story and solid RPG/GoT elements but the whole "pay money or wait for hours on end" kills the whole thing and is a big eff you to the player.
Hi there, thank you for the question. We've tried to make the game as realistic as possible, and that includes waiting for things to happen or be created. You wouldn't expect a fine Broadsword to be produced in seconds. These things take time. :)

so, very buggy game that got badges. I can't even get past the introdution because I have panels in my way and I'm not willing to change my browser. I wish kong would make sure a game works for everyone before giving out badges!

Game for making money not for players fun....
Look at GO2 or other great games, normal players (with out money) have fun, more normal players > more WW players (wallet warriors),
Now with no using gold, the game is no playable for no money people...
Then shouldn't have badges....
If you balance playability /earning money it should be great money, but now with out money, from start game after about 2 hours, you have nothing to do, and 0 fun from game...
