This is one of the best games I've ever played. There's only one problem. The fighting is unfair on the Trojan War, and even though I nail a jump shot, I fail about almost everytime. I have to jump backwards to get one right, and it feels so awkward. Once I almost kill the final boss, I die... Please make this a little more fair. Other than that, it's a really great game.

Reminds me of that game of "Warlords: Call to Arms." Similar fighting styles with each character also. Still, excellent bloody game.

Other people already mentioned it: when you knock enemies down and you press "up" it's far from a sure kill. Especially when you're jumping backwards, I don't think I've killed someone that way so far.

Wow, the execution action is sooooooo bad. They are constantly coming in so if you knock them over it's pointless they get back up and swing straight away. You can't execute them, because they are soo close to you...

it pisses me off when i want achilles to stab but he swings then gets stabbed slashy slashy
seriously getting 2 melee on you is ridiculous you can go ahead and use your shield to get close except any attack you use will be too slow to counter or they just boot your face

I liked the violence but sadly the controls are very stiff. You move slowly, get stun locked very easily and it is very hard to jump forward and deliver an accurate jump kick.
And sometimes the spears vanish before I can pick them up.
The violence is very gratifying. The kick down followed by a auto jump is a fun way to kill people. And combo-ing a spear into one guy's face followed by a head kick and auto jump kill is damn nice. But by the end of the game the only way to beat levels without dying is to double kick then jump everyone.

you made the heroes unbelievably strong if i want to stun them i have to kick kick kick kick kick on and on because they are damn near immortal and cant be stunned for more than half a second needs upgrades and updates in attack speed damage and responsiveness. + if you think so too.

Neat-looking and initially interesting, but beset with problems. The fights are VERY repetitive, especially the boss fights, which are...all pretty much the same (largely due to their attack patterns, which render most approaches outside "mash attack and hope you've got enough lives left" fairly useless). After trudging through a glut of easy fights, Chapter 5's difficulty ramps up startlingly, and frankly attempting to use the woefully unreliable ground-kill is tantamount to suicide.

hehehe, the dialogue in here is funny. Too bad my speakers don't work.....an somebody tell me when Achilles' talks, is there some voice speaking, or not?

A thing that would make this at least 25% better is that you could at least slash people on the ground for minor damage as to not instant kill them.

I hate that there is, quite simply, NO trick you can use against the bosses. All you can do is hold down the attack button and scream in frustration when they inevitably kick your butt. Seriously, if there is supposed to be something you can do, could somebody please explain it to me?

My strategy throughout the game was basically just "kick, kick, jump!" Not the most inventive, but it's effective if you're quick about it. I beat the game, complete all the achievements, look down at the comments, and apparently people are having difficulty with the executions. I literally figured that out in the first level. Insta-kill for the win, guys.

Okay, i finally figured out how to finish off floored enemies. You have to jump and then hold in the attack key. The problem I was having (and I bet other people are having) is that if you aren't standing over the person you are finishing off before you jump, the attack changes to a normal jump attack and wont work unless you time pressing the attack key right before you land. In other words, you just can't stand too far away from the floored enemy when you try to finish them.

In order to kill someone lying at you feet, you have to take a giant, slow leap up into the air. And miss half the time. freakin' brilliant.

Very fun game, sort of like a few other I have played, but very fun and even goes along with some real Greek battle. Only main improvment still needed is that your safe while killing someone on the ground because many times Im almost done killing someone and then a random archer or another guy on the ground gets up and hits me breaking the kill and causing the soon to be dead guy to get up who then hurts me. If we could have a like 1 second invul. for when we are killing someone on the ground it owuld be nice.

Hector, the boss for round 5, is THE fairest boss, so long as you strike first and dont let him overlap achilles, or he will eternal combo you.

Man i remember playing the first achilles game and losing horribly but this game makes it so the difficulty increases progressivly so you can get better with the easier parts to get ready for the harder parts, could use upgrades but other than that i would rate this 9/10

I don't know why people are complaining about the floor kills. It's not that hard. The only thing hard for me is trying to not get hit by the immediate arrows that I cannot dodge because I am doing a floor kill animation.

i love the game better than the fist one but you should have a partner and upgrades and i dont like the controles for this one
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well I could not be arsed to play much because:
There is no time to get used to the controls. When a scenario starts the character is frozen and the player has no time to try out things. Also when last enemy is killed the character is frozen again. There is not even enough time to read the tips in the stat screens as they go by so fast. Ridiculous. It needs to chill down and give the player an empty arena to get used to the commands. Not worth my time at the moment. Nice idea though.
