I really wanted to like this game, but it has too many flaws both in the gameplay and the fundamentals. No pause button, no back to main menu button etc. With a few touch-ups, it could be highly rated.

LOL... on level 2 i was against the boss i threw my spear at him a fraction of second before he threw his and we both died.

nice game, but I hate the fact that it only takes 2 swordsmen to kick-trap you so you cant do anything and archers hit you before they come on the screen and this makes survival very hard since if you are going for the achievement you need 20 kills in each life, and it only takes around 5 off-the-screen shots to kill you. I think you should make a sequel though, but with more weapons, more enemies, less unfairness and possibly more things you can do in the game, maybe picking up a big 2-handed axe from a dead enemy as well as spears or something

Okay: Ratings: 3.44. Add pause button. 3.90. Let player use bows and arrows. 4.10. Give the story mode a story mode. 4.20. Make the game less monotonous. 4.25. Add more units and variaty. 4.30. THIS GAME HAS POTENTIAL!

Says i have only 80 on day 4 meaning im missing 1 kill from 3. So i replayed day 3 and day 1-4 and it wont save the 81st kill so i cant use the continue have to beat the entire game in one sitting without dying. Give the game 1/5. Some bugs should be fixed or they completely ruin a game. if you tell people it might not count kicks as kills FIX IT. Bad maker cant fix his mistakes to help people trying to play game give him a 1/5 also.

great game but the weapon selection seriously needs more to it i mean just only sword and spear? u should add more weapons like longswords or axes and stuff and have the enemies carry them. Then once u kill the enemy u cud pik up tht weapon. and one more thing why the hell cant u pik up the bow and arrow? i mean seriously u could put ur sword in a sheath and carry ur shield on hand so u could shoot at least one arrow with the bow. anyways good game still.

there are 2 types of soldiers 1. The ones who ride the freakin boat cause theyre afraid of the enemies and then theres the second one 2. an Epic hero like yourself that gets everything done

Achilles is a VERY mediocre hack and slash game. Its one of those games where some people will find it fun but frustrating and others will simply load crap on it. Its fun, I admit, until you go to the point where there are 2 enemies and they team up and you're caught up in the middle. Its instant death, and the death rates are completely weird and its not even realistic. A kick does more damage than a spear??? WTF? I don't have a problem with this game as a challenge because it is extremely easy.

One very irritating thing about this game, the freaking archers can hit you even when you can't see them, so I have to guess sometimes, + if you've ever had this happen to you. :P

and that game needs a little bit strategy to finish,other tip:don't go forward to the enemy saying:THIS IS TROY!!!and falling into the enemy ambush.No!just wait the right moment to deliver a fatal hit to the enemy soldiers

This is a classic, been playing it for almost a decade, the Achilles two game although improved in many aspects still lacks in comparison to this one.

@hotkid if you stand still nothing will come, so its like pausing is also, if you throw your spears at people with spears, you will get one back. also, you might want some spears for the guys with swords so they don't hack.

@marinesniper: Yeah, that's right, but Achilles was the one who killed Hector, and he WAS a hero, otherwise nobody would know his name and this game was never maked.

There's a glitch where an enemy boss will stop taking damage, then of course kill you. Then while you lie dead he will die but he won't be counted towards your kills. twice I've made it to level 5 with 121 kills because of this...

The last boss is based on a huge man named Boagrius who was killed by Acgilles when he ran by jumped into the air and sliced with his sword.

wtf i had a save with 2 lives and 122 kills at lvl 5, after i died and started from lvl 5 it says i still have 121 kills? as if i did not kill lvl 2 boss. this sucks :(

procyonpi's guide made the boss sound like some horrible overpowered monster but he was dead easy and it only took me one extra life to kill him.. Just constantly rush him getting hit and eventually he dies..

man the enemy must be part chicken caus if i take the head of one, it occasionally finished the attack it was about to make.

Tip: When the archers are shooting arrows at you..I recommend you to jump and then kill him.The sword is way faster than the spear so use it.

To xXMarineSniperXx: The story about Trojan and Greek war is about the last 50 days of the wars 10th year. And Achilles died soon after he killed Hector, prince of Troy, the main defender, and soon after that, Troy fell because of the wooden horse. And you know the rest ;)
