That moment when you're standing on top of an enemy, and the only way to damage his is to move sideways, making you vulnerable to attacks, and surely dying.

I remember playing this years ago and enjoying it, I really can't see why now. If the enemy manages to hit you once, you can count yourself basically dead already.

The big problem I have with this game is that the damage you deal is heavily based on RNG. A bit of variation is acceptable, but if the same charge attack has the potential to both 1-hit kill or deal next-to-no damage to the same enemy, then it just makes the game based more on luck than on skill.

bad thing is when u dont see the archers second many guys attack at the back or appear on the back when u have an enemy infront u get countered

ok so game needs a pause button, the ability to block then maybe pinpoint attacks like a ducking kick or slash, and u should be able to use enemy weapons if a guy drops an arrow pick it up and stab someone with it. running would be nice to push walk twice to run or something like that

2/5. Swordsman are heavily overpowered, archers can hit from off-screen, and when there's 2 or more guys on the screen, especially two swordsman, you can kiss one of your lives goodbye. Whoever made the game needs to learn some mechanics, and how to make a better control scheme

For anyone trying this in 2020 (or beyond):
There's the walkthrough from Procyonpi written in 2010, but you don't have to follow all of that in order to reach the final boss with 2 lives left.
Here are some general tips if the game is making you rage and you want to get good fast:
- The game rewards two things: attacking while moving and attacking from as far away as possible. Attacks performed while walking do higher damage (e.g. the shield bash, the broad sword swing). Also, you can insta-kill if you hit an enemy with the tip of your sword.
- Kicks are super important. Use them to disrupt attacks.
- Look out for new enemies and face them ASAP. If you run away from an enemy, he will come towards you faster AND you will attract new enemies.
Yeah, OK, that's it. This general strategy will let you insta-kill most enemies aside from the bosses, and it can make boss fights end faster (you just have to kick bosses more in order to disrupt them). Sorry for the long comment, and have fun!

... Second boss destroyed me, and then once I died he flopped down dead and it said I passed the level.... I didn't even touch him ;-;

omg they become more aggressive when theres more than 1 of them then i end up being spammed with kicks, stabs and slashes...

This game is a dead straight can go either way ok.Why is because its simple yet repeating same type of battle over and over again i would like it if he opened up a shop but i guess this isn't the kind of game for there's other reasons but ill leave it to a simple conclusion ok.

one kick from an enemy and you get screwed up, stunned for WAY longer than any kick you can dish out, not to mention they then combo your ass to death and kick you again, lose more than half your health before you can react. Sucks

My memory of high school mythology is a bit shaky...but wasn't Achilles the one whose only weakness was his heel? The only way to kill him was to hurt his heel? Hence the term 'Achilles Heel'? So explain to me how it is Achilles can be killed by an arrow to the chest?

Lol I threw a spear at the second boss and he threw one at me. I died then he stood there for a second then he fell down and said I won xD

One complaint... There's really no way to see the archers that aren't on the screen, so it's ridiculous that they get a free shot almost every time they appear.

Are you f*cking kidding me?! 98 goddamn kills. God this is so stupid. Why the hell do you have to totally die when you have 1 life left?? Most games, you can go down to 0 lives, then when you get killed there, it's over. It's so incredibly cheap, when there are 2 or 3 of them you're going to take a ton of damage. You hardly have any health and you lose it very quickly. ESPECIALLY when there's guys on both sides! There's not a dam thing you can do about that. Even getting hit once probably means you're going take more. Good game, rage inducing, BS Survival.

I thought the greeks were all about honor and all that sh**. Here's the story for most of the times I die.. Swordsman at bar: "I was the one that killed the great Achilles! Yes! ME!!" Random Person at bar: "Oh really?! Tell us how it happened oh majestic warrior!" Swordsman: "Well, there was this archer that he was distracted with and so me and my other swordsman friend decided it would be great to gang up on him! He didn't stand a chance!!"

The game sends more enemies at you if you move from side to side; often by standing there after you kill an enemy, no more enemies come. This tactic serves as the pause feature for this game. So stop complaining about the lack of a conventional pause.
