Fun little game you have here. One small issue I found was you cannot pause the game while caps lock is on. I'm sure it will be a simple fix to handle the keyCode for upper case 'P'. All the other keys seem to be working fine. Cheers!

if you don't like the transfers offered to you in between seasons, DON'T carry on with the matches, go back to main menu and continue career to refresh all the transfers

YES!! One of the first games I added to "My Favorites" way back when- this is the type of game that made me fall in love with Kongregate in the first place.

Very Good Game! I never Played it before because Of its name i thought it is not a good game but today due to badge of the Day coming to this game i played it and found it very good now it is in my Favorite List

I find throwing is better than passing, as you have more control over where it goes and it's faster and generally just better. You just gotta make sure it actually does go where you want it to go.

the saddest part of this game is that I invested effort to name all my players, modelling my team after my footy club. And quickly realised I have to trade to be competitive and then I can't change the names :(

Kind of wish that game would end when one team has at least 8 more goals than the other team. It becomes way too long every time the game pauses when you score a goal.

the best tactic- is probably to start off buying Tackling, Toughness so your player can
still run while taking hits. Ad buying boots to increase you speed is also a good tactic. Buying the Bribe and Enhancing drugs have 6/10 chance of making you lose. some teams in teh higher divisions will notice it far better then the division 4 and 3

and the "counter attack" formation beats every other formation, but is extremely boring to use. it's really awkward how, unless i'm just always using counter attack (boring), i always have to switch to counter attack to counter counter attack .. especially since different formations place the characters in completely different positions, which means your important central players with buffed stats end up in the corner where they're absolutely useless, so switching formations basically doesn't work either, unless they use the same positions.
also attackers often try to go further forward than the map allows, which makes them run back to the midfield for some reason, forcing you to attack with defenders, which is also extremely awkward.
this game feels like a huge wasted opportunity.

i keep playing this because i loved speedball on the gameboy back in forever ago, and it has all the elements. but the formations and position are horrible. nobody ever bloody defends.
of course there isn't any need to if you spend all the money and overpower every team, but ... winning 10-0 every time ain't fun either.
if they would just defend, that would mean a lot. often they just leave the goalie all by himself.
also passing often passes backwards for no reason, or passes to a character that then runs away, or straight into the hands of an opponent etc.
and the left and right defender are absolutely useless, they never do anything, which makes the defensive formations absolutely suck at defense, because of the lost characters, which is really awkward.

Absolutely loved this game for years! So glad I got back into it! I would to see a sequel, but if not, you already have a gem of a game! :)

Ive beat this game so fast you only need to skill speed and toughness then just throw the ball all the time in direction to the other goal and run towards it easy win every game.

It would be helpful when before the game starts it would show the number order in the multiple formations you can open your match with.

For those of you going for a hard badge in the game, DON'T upgrade your stats of the players after you finish every round. Instead, wait until the end of the division and buy 5 star transfers. You can get more than one after every division, after you buy one press continue, but instead of starting a game go back to menu, then continue career. It will give you a list of completely different transfers that you can buy. Keep doing this until you are satisfied with your players. Hope this helped :D

Kind of a bug in the game. At the end of the season when you trade players, make trades for high $$$ members, then go to the main menu or refresh and you can trade again. You can win Division 1 in one go by never spending money on trading and picking up 4-5 star members every division change.
