I love the feeling of watching a full line of trolls walk across the map... and then the enemy tries to kill them with spearman. Idiots...

how to win this game in few easy steps:
1. pick anything that doesn't have - to spear
2. go to options and enable auto send option
3. choose to autospawn spearmans
4. go surf on internet or do something else
5. every now and then come back to choose next map or to send charge
6. upgrade your spears and every now and then upgrade armor/speed a bit
7. win every map with basic unit and while doing something else...

Crap... Kong didn't register my previous badges when I first loaded, so I played it all over again by accident. Oh well. Lots of issues... still sound with sound turned off (menu click sounds, that I recall). Starting a new campaign turns sound back on... if I turn it off, it should stay off. Menu button in playfield ends the battle without any confirmation... WTF? Battle continues when options menu is opened. Speed options badly needed. No warning that if you start a new campaign the old one is lost... as with the battle-to-menu thing, if you're going to loose some or all progress, a warning and confirmation are kind-of UX 101.

This classic game once again gets the BotD. I have to always give credit to this game because it brought me to kong back in April 2008 and just Look at me now... ;) Lol

Yeesh, this game is very repetitive. All you do is send units to the other side with no control over marching, staying, retreating, or changing the rows they are in once they are sent. And even if all you have to do to win is just use and upgrade spearmen for an easy win, that just means even more that it is both boring and time consuming. 2/5 Stars from me.

enemy soldier: Sir! The enemy general is spamming spearmen down the middle lane!
enemy general: Counter with our slowest trained cavalry. he'll never see it coming!
enemy soldier: But sir, their spearmen will massacre our cavalry with superior numbers weapon advantage!
enemy general: I SAID COUNTER WITH CAVALRY, DAMMIT!

I threw a giant troll in with my line of spearmen, bulldozed my way through the few tougher levels. I found that mages, flaners, and kings' guards ate through my upgraded spearmen too easily. And troll for the charge.

sigh, this game seems require so much grinding.. by the time i reach last level, my unit can't 1v1 enemy's the very same unit.

i especially love how the more you take over of the literal world of the game the dwindling enemy count somehow gets a super boost. I control 85% of the world... why am i having a hard time killing the stragglers? nah, because they magically gain op friends and just spam that. Oh and you make like 100 dollars when you take over a portion of their land. If they have the money to invest in those strong people and gear why do i get scraps? It becomes a last as long as you can and ooop you died, he's 5 gold pieces toward that 1,200 terrible upgrade. Really keeping my interest lol

Is there any way to improve how quick you get a charge? cause the last place I'm attacking can have 2 charges on the field at a time while I get 1 the whole battle...

to win game: grab demons, and just let the spearmen run. upgrade only spears and armor. attack the highest difficulty zone until you get to 50% or so, then open up whatever you don't have access to on the map (most difficult fight was at 65%, this way, the others were in the low 20s). and, of course, if your spearmen line starts getting crushed send in a few (3) swordsmen to help, then switch back

A good strategy is to use just spearman and change lanes every summon. Just go down the line, and back up. It's extremely adaptive, and the computer doesn't seem to defend against that very well letting many of your spearman past. It worked for me against an 89% difficulty battle.

The "One Lane" strategy is flawed. If/when your opponent crushes your line with beefed up swordsman, flails, royal guard or whatever, he gets a charge from killing so many dudes at once.
