The trade factions are really buggy. Killing commoners doesnt' increase your rep with the merchant, it actually increases the COMMONERS's rep by 10, (but also lowers it by 20)
Bump into the "commoners" first and accept their quest, and you are stuck with them forever. The game forces you to be a communist :P

Merchants seem like reasonable people... Can't I just pay them some gold for their badges? All this slaughter seems senseless...

Correction to the horse trick: The only western wall porous enough for a horse to fit through is behind the Commoner’s camp. And another trick!
When neutral or better with the opposing faction and doing the repeatable quest "What is that smell" in the Jungle, meeting the criteria for one quest will mark both as completed. Looting glands for the Alliance quest counts as kills for the Dark Runner quest, making it extremely easy to get the 7 kills from the group of 4 behemoth just south of the camps. You can also turn them both in to a single quest-giver, oddly enough... Even more odd is, after completing both, the first quest you turn in will always be for the opposition's quest. So after turning in one, you can simply walk to the next screen, accept the quest again, and turn it in again. Over and over and over, getting reputation and 27/32 tokens a pop. And boots, if you like boots.

Your horse is awesome. More than once, you're going to find yourself in a tree or rock or wall thanks to its amazing teleportation-like speed. Its truly unbelievable ability awaits in Varz: your horse can literally run straight through most of the barrier walls and explore the outsides of the map, and even the curious black square in the bottom right. The world map only extends one square north; going east, south, or west(I'm assuming) will result in a black screen of death requiring a reload. To get above Varz, just go one square south of the northern wall and run due north. If you go to the westernmost tip of Varz, you will wind up in the wall of the Voidbringer. To get out between the worlds, run south along the west wall. Just after entering a new square, hold down + left to glide at an angle straight through the barrier. Every square outside of the current map is just a plain of grass with nothing, with the exception of Voidbringer's room and the ice dragon's cave.

In Varz, after accepting both end storyline quests thanks to being Ally status with both of them, I was only able to complete the Alliance's final quest. The Dark Runner associate never spawned. After defeating the Voidbringer and starting the game again, I was greeted by a Darkrunner quest ensuring me that thanks to my efforts we had taken over the world. So even if you do all the work as a good guy, evil still wins.

Argh, my stupid tank is now just moving backwards away from enemies and not attacking anyone. And impossible to solo waves of enemies at gate as ranger.. Downgrading my rating from 3 to 1 star.

the game is much more annoying and buggy than the previous ones (eg your party tank getting stuck somewhere, enemies wandering off screen or behind buttons so you cant target them, etc), nice idea, very sucky execution

Why can't Kongregate put good and fun games for badges?? I never have fun playing these miserable games just to do badge of the day.

Came here for the daily badge, couldn't figure out where the heck I was supposed to be going for the quests. Not a good game.

If you're just looking to complete 10 quests for the badge of the day, I'd like to point out that repeatable quests count. The early quest for killing 6 of Riordian's Warlings is very close to the starting town, for example.

There seems to be a bug with abandoning quests. I abandoned one and it another existing one took it's place making it appear in my log twice. Now I can't neither complete nor abandon it.

Awesome adventure game, for some reason i loved It :o Collecting stuff, leveling up, getting higher rank, buying new items, completing quest, and easy fighting and killing enemies! The easy badges took me only 10-15minute to achieve. Hint: Click "M" To view the map and see all your quest and area where you have to go. Or if you have to find where's your next mission or place you haven't unlocked yet. Also don't dice too much if you're not that rich or have enough money :p

The game seems to glitch occasionally when you die, so that your character can't move. I keep having to save, quit to the menu, and reload. It's happened about three times now over the past hour. Loving the game otherwise.

wtf is upp with the last boss fight... my ps pretty much hangs up as soon as the fight begins and it takes 100 yeras for anything and the boss just walks out of the screen?...

I think im stuck... is the old man supposed to give you a follow up quest when you defeated the boss with 25k hp in the tower? (if so im stuck) otherwise im just clueless to what to do... perhaps becomea allied with more factions just for fun...

I see, thanks. Now I have an other problem. I finished the tower.. But the old hermit didnt give me a continueation quest... so i'm really stuck i have no quests to do but repeatables... and if i try to reenter the tower i simply get stuck in there and have to exit the game... What to do? :/

hmm... so i got my second party member (have 3 in my party now) but we are all melee fighting... its getting fairly rough to complete the tower and the boss with 25k hp without a healer :/ should i just grind and get ally with everyone to buy the best gear to progress? :/

there should be an option where you could choose your own fate instead of choosing between factions....like for example, creating a path that ends up with you choosing to destroy all the factions in this game. hehehe
