Poor control and blind jumps are the bane of a good platformer game. Good music does not make up for such deficiences.

Awesome game. Tough crowd here at Kong...is everyone a little grumpy today?
I definitely don't agree with some of the "not challenging" comments: games have to be fairly easy in the beginning to be playable for novice players as well. It's not the dev's fault you're so impatient that you can't even play to level 5.

Nice game reminds me of retro ninja games, it needs some polish though to be perfect. Has some Typos also (like this peice is locked in concept art).

Actually the difference between Samurai and Ninja doesn't really matter. The Emporer's Guards were traditionally samurai, it's just that this one seems to have forgotten the code.

Tighten up the controls, add a save feature, some combos to the fighting, and I might give this game a 5, but for now only a 3.

beautiful games. i love games that are both beautiful, and cinematic. unfortunately...having to replay ALL the beginning levels is a major drawback, as is the lack of a save feature. I look forward to you adding them...

I really hate games that don't let you play your own music. I understand the creators wanted to set a certain feel for the game, but it is really annoying when you just want to mute the music.

Wonderful graphics, and I like that its kind of an improved version of AwW. The cinematic in the beginning is also beautiful, as well as the audio sync, but the story needs work -- the premise is awfully cliche...

Fun game, but a little glitchy, and the lack of a save feature makes it less attractive to play. Other than that, it's pretty decent.
3/5 (I'd give it 3.5, but there are no half stars)

I was never a fan of games where you just have to jump around and hit everything until it's dead. At least some platform games have puzzles and stuff. This one has some nice art but that's about it. Oh yeah, and where the hell is mute? And why won't my character turn around when I'm trying to hit things?

Meh. Decent game but I found no reason to use anything other than "mash attack" or power attacks. It has a good artistic feel but the jumping is not nearly responsive enough and can become very frustrating.

You gotta go back and work on that hit detection on jumping, there is one part where you have to tilt a rock, jump up off a wall and onto another tilting rock, I keep falling through the second rock because it never registers the landing.

Fun...but there's a lot of red orbs that lead you into spike pits/bottomless pits. I mean it's fun to trick the player every now and then...but really?

WTF?! I just fought his arse kicked his butt WATCHED HIM DISENTAGRATE?
Only to get my ass kicked in a cutsceane? NO FREAKING WAY!
Dissapointing ending, shallow gameplay. Bad AI BAD LEVELS= 1/5!

I have so many reasons not to like this.
Music. Give me a god damn mute button. The detection of- well- EVERYTHING needs to be better. Not rating.

I like the style of this, both in terms of aesthetics and in terms of gameplay, but the hit detection on jumping is ridiculously bad. Plus your character gets totally locked into combos too easily and it's easy to get screwed by them, especially when you're facing the wrong direction and can't turn around. A solid game marred by some frustrating problems, all in all. 3/5.
