Duckets, i must say i am fairly displeased with your choice to disconinue all updates. However, i do agree with every single person out there who says that this is and could be one of the best games ever to set foot on kongregate. Best wishes to you sir.

The lack of a proper skybox, emotions of the cars and overall minimalistic setting makes this game philosophic in a way.

Could you please change the road creation controls to the arrow keys or something else? Because when I try to place a road hazard at the front and I want it to be on a hill, it makes me lower the hill to place the road hazard

this game has a ton of option on where to improve! just some ideas (for hopefully somebody who can/would/will make this into a game)
1. well obviously more traps then just a green box :D
2. driver IQ or give the players a chance of somekind of control ?
3. I believe this was suggested but multi player
4. money! what kind of games doesnt have money ? :D
there are a lot of games that could be made with this kind of set up i hope to see a few of them soon
btw 5/5 is the worst rating i could give :D

would really like to see a "You are the road 2" the play-ability of this is great, the idea is original! For number 2 I would love the option to use awsd for turn and mouse for drops. I really really hope you run with this and make a part 2! :-D

Awesome game but I think it would be super funny if those cars can be Kongregate users and then there is 1 doing that road when real pupils are driving it same time

Such a gorgeous game. A few ideas, if you ever make a sequel(please do)!
1. various game modes:
A. race, you set a time limit, and a finish line "terrain piece" is placed when you reach the time limit. Any cars that get onto the terrain piece "win"
B. Last man standing, last car to be alive wins
C. Sandbox
2. campaign/tourney mode.
You would pick the game mode, A or B
Then the amount of games the cars will play.
After each match the winner gets a point, whoever has the most point at the end wins!

Well, if your not going to add stuff to this game because of game-Jam, Then why don't you just make a exact copy of this game, call it a different name, and add to that?

I blew up all but one car so I could experiment. He seemed happy when he was close to me, but he felt alone and depressed when he slipped further away. What does that mean? Who am I, and why do the cars take notice of me?

What a great concept for a game. and well done too. It be nice to be able to 'drop' more than just the green cubes, besides obstacles perhaps some beneficial items.

i wanna ask one request of you, screw all those more levels, the only thing i need is some more stuff to do, like giving them items (anything) and booster platforms
if it should be outstandingly good game that you can play for hours without end this game needs to have some options
like number of lives for each car, maybe a block shooter that you can put on the car... if have more ideas but i dont really want to overflow you with them so ill end it here, this has the potential to be my number 1 favorite game... if you make a sequel give me the option to have more cars or more lives for each car, if i just have that the rest shouldent really be nessesary, but its at its absolute best with more features thats for sure, like sandbox mode where you can edit tracks... i am sorry for my long blabbering but i feel this is nessesary for this good a game...

Pretty awesome :D The only thing I wished for is, that the cars would have a kind of healthpoints, that decrease with crashing into other cars or doing barrelrolls :D so they could also get destroyed without falling off the road.
This game isn´t getting boring to me, lol :D

No offense for proving you wrong regarding the "no update" rule, why don't you just make a different version of it with all of the requested updates and rename this game "You Are The Road: Classic"?

Maybe add a bit wider road and better 'starting position' for the cars. At their current position they tend to ram eachother and fight like a dozen puppies would. You usually end up with 2-4 by the time it reaches 50-60mph because of their positions and ability to make unusually wide turns without any fault.

Over 1 million people have played this game. 22,859 rated it and it still stands at a solid 4.0 rating. The concept is funny and deserves more publicity. Do you a good way to do that? MAKE A @$#&$^% SEQUEL! I don't care about a 2 day gamejam thingy! It's been 3 years since this one. It's time now to act!

My suggestion is, save this as a new file, apply all the suggestions people have put foreward and rename this one to "48 hour game jam edition" or something. :D

Had 5 cars left at about 75mph when they all started driving side by side... I thought they were all working together to survive until 2 seconds later they all turned right and all except one drove straight off the edge...
