Also, just a thought, if you did indeed create a sequel, and it just so happened to have more buildings than this one, don't you think it should have more than one type of survivor? Depending on that persons profession before the Zombie invasion, they would have certain special abilities, and it would also affect what type of buildings you would find them in.
Heres a short list of professions I think you could include. Police Officer, can carry ammo with them and use it as a low accuracy attack against the zombies when active. Construction Worker, carries materials faster. Army Recruiter, can deputize survivors without jobs. Deputy, same as cop, but with half the accuracy. Fireman, extracts Survivor resources faster.

This is a very, very strong platform to expand on, and a 1.5, or some such, will hopefully follow this version. The supply chain seemed too expensive at first, 'til l realized you could "zero out" your unused depots. Then I realized I was rich, and quickly finish that level.

@spblackey Zombies don't swim, although the tides can cause one or two to wash up on shore occasionally. Read the Zombie Survival Guide!

Beat it, had a lot of fun, felt perfect for being just released, after updates it will be absolutely perfect. I dont see why people could say it goes to fast, it was perfect for me, didnt pause it once. 5/5

I think the Survivor AI needs some tweaking. At one point I had assigned 16+ to go scavenge, but they all just waited in a depot for a minute straight. By then the next wave started so I restarted my game, because I didn't think I could restock my sniper towers.

They should make a game where YOU'RE the zombies and you have to try and kill all the humans. Like the Pandemic games.

game a lil crappy since the humans arnt the smartest and it would be better if u had differnt guns u can find in the houses to give to ur people to shoot with seems like the only good thing to have updated besides being able to go in houses and being aloud to make forts in them

If you set an ammo quota higher on a under construction gun tower, I don't think it will begin firing until that quota is met. (Possible bug.)

Needs a way to designate a primary depot (say, at least half of your unused supplies get transferred there). Also when ordered to flee survivors should just head immediately to the nearest depot instead of scattering all over the place or standing still and waiting to get eaten.

I felt the campaign mode was too... short. The tutorial-esque levels seemed to be a large chunk of it, and the actual campaign levels felt unvaried. Overall, still a great game.

Supplies can be annoying to control, you need be able to build something to make a steady stream of resources or something to exchange them.

great game! Thanks Duerig! My only suggestion to make it better would be to slow it down a little to make it more realistic. It feels a little hectic sometimes and the resource management is hard to control hence you need to pause quite often. Altogether a great effort though!

Hm. 14 of my survivors, instead of carrying resources around (like ammo to my towers), were just sitting in the depot, so I destroyed it. They all fled to the next depot and just sat there, so I destroyed that one too... and they all disappeared and left me with -14 survivors available.

kongregate needs more games like this where you build bases on a map and defeat a somewhat fixed amount of enemies and gather a fixed amount of resources to fight said enemies which are blocking some of said resources and your army are the very resource they need to raise their numbers but you still have a bit of space to set up before they come for you

This game has great replay value - and it's difficult without resorting to the monotonous as those Tower Defense games end up being. Best flash strategy I've played in quite some time.

The main thing which I would like to be able to do is actually control how many of each resource are in a tower/depot. The quota doesn't seem to function as good as it should. You should be able to just make your survivors move resources from place to place, rather then them trying to do it by themselves. This is the only problem I could find and other than this I love the game :)

Great game, has a good base from which to build off of, the map editor could be a bit more fluid, having to make boxes then choose wat type of terrain or building that box should represent means that players have to predetermine wat their map would be almost down to the each individual tile (the way a player alters the number of zombies, ammo, survivors, and lumber works well. Also would be cool to have multilpe types of defense towers like in tower defense games, such as a machine gun tower, sniper tower, shotgun tower etc for long medium and short defense. adding spikes to barricades to slowly damage attacking zombies or landmines/explosive barrels for mobs or hordes. And finally a multiplayer aspect would be interesting player vs player vs zombies

would like to see a more indepth campain, mabey put some maps where you have to hold one specific building, or a capture a building in a timelimit. Also would love to have the ability to play as the zombies.

WTF I spent 2 hours working on a map, ten i went to test it and the screen went up all white and all my modifications were gone!
