Other minor ways to improve the game: survivors pathing AI is awful. And more hotkeys, particularly for survivor quota up/down. I will look forward to the next version of this game more than any other game I've anticipated for a long time.

Ok when survivors gathering supplies hav multiple options as to which depot to return objects to, they should ALWAYS choose the closest depot. Currently they will choose the depot that is the farthest they can reach, which means if your low on supplies you have to wait extra time because they carry them across the map to get it to supply depot B then B has to carry it to A (which was closer) and by then the zombies had already over run the sniper who needed ammo.

play my level, where you start with only one Survivor and have to gather more, to save your little island from the onslaught

i cant place a 1st consruct depot in the level editor :(
so i cant build any other (survivor) structures either and have no spot to start (as my base) and also the zombies wont spawn....
HELP!! what do i do now ??

The highest difficulty random map is not too hard. Build a line of depot and sniper tower next to it, all the way to one bridge (max gap between depot and sniper tower pairs), blow the bridge. Repeat to all the other bridges. Then all you have to do is hold off while the remaining zombies dwindle down.

I liked the game until the last level, two words... MORE AMMO
I don't find this game strategic when resources are so limited you cannot physically move from location to another.

the survivers walked all around the map to get to the barricade 3 squares away. i "fleed" the depot and everyones still just standing there, waiting to be killed by zombies. MOVE TO THE NEW DEPOT ALREADY!!! =.=

Survivors intelligence is a bit low, them taking long ways around to get somewhere and running in circles to avoid zombies is NOT working. Totally addicted to the game. 4/5

and what about you can make trucks for fast resource getting tank for zombies and fire truck you can use in slowing the zombies and how about having a gas station that you can lure zombies to it then you can throw fire to make it explode but it will kill people and destroy buildings (beside the building where you can find resource and survivors) and how about a put intelligent zombies that have gun and you can use the environment to kill zombies like you can destroy fire hydrant then you can use the electricity to it so the zombies that is in the water will be electrocute and how about trees? you can get wood on trees thats all but maybe i can think of more :)

The "Load Game" is not working for me. After I load,
1. I cannot select anything unless I pause the game,
2. The "`" key do not speed up the game, and
2. My ammo is decreasing at a rate of (I believe) 30 per second.
Maybe I should try to beat Quartermaster without using save/load, I guess.

For some reason when I pause the game, give out orders to have exactly 0 survivors left, it reduces my total to -14 when I unpause. This did not happen the last time I played this same map with the same orders given.

i have an idea about a sequel of this game how about you know who was behind it why the people became zombies and you have more levels and like in a level you can find reinforcement and some human will try to kill you and it was the people who was behind it but they kill the zombies too and the zombie will kill them too and how about you can upgrade the barricade to spiked barricade and you can control the idiot survivors that dont go to the other depot if the depot that where they came from is destroyed and you can put traps like mines and you can have a turret that doesnt need survivors and you can have like grenades flamethrowers and you can set a survivor to guard or move around like from spot to spot and i think snipers have a very long range and very accurate

I agree with the comments wanting a bigger variation of building or some easier way to lure zombies into traps other than advancing, building a tower and than falling back again.
Also i blew up a bridge pretty much on pin-point with the timer but before the zombies got over the bridge, actually before they even appeared. Nevertheless they still came walking over the water like Jesus himself and f-ed up my plan. :(

It should be possible that survivors in zombie infestet buildings turn into zombies after a certain amount of time. The zombies inside the house would of course try to get to them...

Love the game, but my save got corrupted, right as I was about to mop up a quartermaster map... 2 hours down the drain

Repentant, you can streamline supplies. What I did was simply kept moving, destroying any depot that was no longer needed. If a depot had a vast number of supplies, then I simply set its supply stash to 0 and anothers supply stash to your max resources. It takes a bit of work.

Distinct, if you rely on only one maxed sniper, you won't survive the higher levels. On quartermaster difficulty, right from the start, I needed 4 maxed out snipers. Later I needed MUCH more.

Wow...the zombies got stronger and stronger that in the end they become invincible...that is, if you get bored enough to gather all your resources to the last bridge and not detonate the explosives :P

The resource management is a bit cumbersome.. for example, it would really speed up the game if you could streamline the ferrying of supplies from depots that aren't being used behind your forward lines. Other than that this is a great game that has a lot of potential in future sequels.

u know wut would make this cool? like arm some survivors with weapons and command them where to go like a infantery, it would be cool use the ammo and boards to build the weapons u want like a glock, shotguns, and yet other kind of snipers, or instead of a sniper in the tower, a gatlin gun , less acuracy but high fire rate, u think its good? than "+" up if u like the ideia :)

A destroy stucture option would be wonderful. otherwise good game, pretty refreshing that the humans are actually going on the offensive instead of mere survival.

The number of invading zombies increases too dramatically after the first few waves. Either make a longer timer, or display how many zombies will attack the island next so that you have some idea what to expect. It gets annoying to be attacked by 20, 20, 20, 20 and then randomly 50 of them.

you seriously need to fix more bugs: in my current gamestate i have -6 total, but just 4 alocated so -2 total, but actually i have no survivors. game needs to end if no survivors are left too, not jsut if no depots are left. the other issue is, that planned construction can be used, but doesn't cost a thing. so zombies are distracted by barricades which have 0 boards in them, or a line of depots can be set up to lure zombies to them or out of houses. depot line can also be used to set up a depot on the other end of town. you set up a line of depots where you want to go and then you destroy all but the last. and you may need some distraction barricades so the zombies do not follow your scent. this can be used to retreat from an overrun base or to quickly get to the dynamite. this is a seriouse flaw. my idea would be to have planned constructen shown on the map, but it does not do anything or cant be used unless there is material in it. hence, the depot itself should cost resources.

Just my biggest frustration in the game: I saw the last map and no way i'm playing that ._.
Moving around is too boring, really. Each 7 tiles having to estabilish a base and moving the resources also makes it reeeeeally boring. In my opinion, sacrificing strategy to share the resources between depots wouldn't be bad ._.

Also, just a thought, if you did indeed create a sequel, and it just so happened to have more buildings than this one, don't you think it should have more than one type of survivor? Depending on that persons profession before the Zombie invasion, they would have certain special abilities, and it would also affect what type of buildings you would find them in.
Heres a short list of professions I think you could include. Police Officer, can carry ammo with them and use it as a low accuracy attack against the zombies when active. Construction Worker, carries materials faster. Army Recruiter, can deputize survivors without jobs. Deputy, same as cop, but with half the accuracy. Fireman, extracts Survivor resources faster.

This is a very, very strong platform to expand on, and a 1.5, or some such, will hopefully follow this version. The supply chain seemed too expensive at first, 'til l realized you could "zero out" your unused depots. Then I realized I was rich, and quickly finish that level.
