Pretty solid game, quite enjoyable. Only real gripe is that floors 51-100 are far too easy; in fact, I beat the final boss at full health, full mp with 5 of every potion after going from floor 39 on.
4/5

@HolliBoiRock- That is what dungeon crawlers are all about, going as far as you can then retreating to fight another day and repeat till you win. A lot of dungeon crawlers will have an item to escape the dungeon alive but in exchange takes most of your items, resets your level, etc hence why it's genre is called dungeon CRAWLER. In this instance it takes all your normal items, but, you get to keep your gold, artifacts, magic, and stat crystals.
--------------------------
In the dungeon crawler portion of Lufia II that the description mentions this game being based on all your levels, items, abilities, etc are temporary displaced while your level is reduced to 1, when you use it's item to flee the dungeon your level is reset and you loose every item you looted except those from blue chests which you can keep and also take back in (similar to artifacts here).

HolliBoiRock: Escape Wing does just that :) takes you out of the dungeon, BUT keeps all your artifacts/spells/stat crystals you found, so it is best to use it after you sold everything to a shop, because you keep even your gold too (the escape wing is there, because if you die, you lose EVERYTHING you gained between starting the run and dying)
deliroket: you can find spells in simple red chests, random chance, but you use it for those :) best for healing spells though

Absolutely love this game, which makes it hurt even more when I realised the app version was just awful. Seriously, the 'improved' part of it means you can step over bags after opening them. Beyond that it is randomly changed in so many negative ways you end up just hating it.

Currently on Floor 36 and I'm feeling addicted to this game - definitely one of the GOOD games on Kong.
Tip to Newcomers: NEVER sell Artifact gear, even if they are crappier than a regular! Until you find a better artifact gear to replace that one, do not sell them. Also Agility is EVERYTHING!

This game kinda reminds me of ''bushido blade'' a.k.a. ''dragon crystal'' It was a very popular sega game in the 90's.

played through for the first time - there need to be more special items in game. After lvl 30 I powered through the rest of the game without resetting once - and beat the boss with mostly normal items.

Where did that 5 hours go...? This game is amazing! Too bad I was off Kong during the Kickstarter... I heard about it after it ended...
Two questions for the dev, will there be cross-buying between Android and Steam for the sequel? Also, will there be a virtual d-pad for the Android version? I'm not a fan of the controls on most Android roguelikes... BUT, I'll still buy both versions either way.
Movement in the sequel will be path-finding based, so you just tap the tile you want to walk to, and your character will go there while avoiding enemies if possible! You'll have to tap an enemy directly to fight.

the game is very glitched once you reach the 3rd shop. I bought a Knights helet and got a cloth shirt instead! What is this?!

Looking forward to the sequel. I still maintain that this is the simplest and easiest to get into roguelike that I've ever come across. Very fun with replayability.

Did the gem drop rate get nerfed? I just completed an entire 100 floor run and only got 1 gem. This isn't that odd though. I have done several 100 floor runs and walked away with only 2-3 gems.

reach level 39, bought 7 health potions, run into battle and realize that you didn't heal yourself and die from one hit and have to start over at level 9.

You're supposed to keep some artifact equipment in your bag rather than selling it.
It makes you not instadie on earlier floors.
Just sayin'.

Glitch, on Floor 19 I bought a health potion and knight's helm. Instead of the health potion it gave me an iron helm but still cost 900 gold. Ripoff.

This is fun. My main issue is that I got to level 97, where I just couldn't kill anything else without dying, then used the escape wings, then although I started at level 79, I no longer have much money or any good weaponry. So going back into level 80 is instant death. In other words, the demons are powerful enough by the later levels that it is pretty much useless to escape, and useless to auto-start on those later levels. I understand the impetus in not wanting to remove the risk from the game. But most upgrade-based games, including dungeon crawlers, don't lead the hero into an impossible situation where he can't go back and he also isn't strong enough to defeat anyone.

only suggestion for your new enchanted cave game is to not get too carried away with making it into another online rpg. this one stands out and is enjoyable because it is nice and simple. focusing on the strategy aspect would be an AWESOME way to go with it. just my opinion :)
