great game. 5/5 i enjoyed this game partially because the graphics were great. And it was very well put together for the developers first attempt at a flash game.

I'm not sure how but my first time playing and I went from floor 1 to 100 without stopping. I must have gotten pretty lucky with drops or something.

Quite a fun game. Finding a new artifact is always good. A small note - if you don't know the stats of the enemies yet, try to memorize their toughness - you should be able to recognize that a green slime is weaker than a bat. That goes for finding paths, too - don't go killing everything in sight; you can avoid half of the enemies just by planning your path.

I can't find a decent game of Rogue, oldstyle, but this, while not perfect, satisfies my Rogue jones, at least for now. Delightfully frustrating

how does one use the spells? I don't know if you throw them, wear them, or use them the way you do potions, by dropping them onto the hero (or the monster...) Or maybe they just don't work?

I think at the time for this game it's pretty ancient and I have to get respect for the first time making of a game into the evolved 2nd game. I've played the 2nd game and loved it. The only thing that makes me complain is that you can't step over loot bags and the animation takes so long to move from it. At least I know from the Enchanted Cave 2 fixed those complaints and made it cooler than it is.

Rather odd bug I've been experiencing, when purchasing items I seem to receive items completely different from what I bought - for instance, buying three small healing potions and them becoming a gladiator sword in the inventory.
This was never the case with this game when I played it several years ago, was there a recent patch that caused this issue?

gotta love the first one... this game is what made me get into rogue-like games. Thanks for such a great game. I hope you keep on making ones such as this. 6/5

is there a way to make the game screen bigger, cause the text is too small for people to read, Kong please put this game in a bigger window. Hit plus + if you agree. ------->

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just found an odd bug where I bought a health potion on level 19 and when I clicked trade, it became two straw hats (which I DIDN'T want) in my inventory :(

Detailed instructions in-game.
Drag and drop equipment to the appropriate slot to equip them. Drop consumable items (like the Escape Wings and potions) and magic spells onto the character himself in order to use them.
Controls:
WASD or arrow keys
Mouse
“M” key mutes all audio.

I knew the merchant was going to be the boss, I mean what merchant would have shops in the middle of massive 100 floor dungeons with lots of strong monsters inside xD

I'd highly recommend focusing on pure attack. Hidden/ninja's dagger+ a good sword can let you one-shot your way through most of the maps. Stockpile healing potions, and don't be afraid to chug them when you're facing tanky things (turtles, and most of the late game things take 2 hits, so you suffer from attrition). Kill everything you consistently 1-shot for the MP to heal yourself up.
I went from level 39 to the end in one fell swoop using this strategy. It's worth sacrificing even 3-4 points of defense for 1 attack at some points.

This is a pretty cool game with an unique concept. The only thing that bothers me is the inability to play as a female character.

I was doing extremely well, and would have easily been able to go much farther, but my Internet exploded and reloaded the page without my consent. Before I had the chance to save. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Sooo...I did not use escape wings since floor 34...and that means everytime I die I'll be spawned at floor 19....and yeah..I reached floor 97...I had 10 of every potion and best items in the game...I felt invincible...and I forgot to check my health points....and yeah...I died at floor 97...killed by a F*****G vampire... ALWAYS CHECK YOUR HP...ALWAYS!!!!
