100 is max defensive resistance. I have capped fire and I put on gear which had 13 fire I did not gain any more or lose any.

Using magic
If u have trouble using magic during battle i ussually drag the spell over the enemy before i even start the fight this way u can use it whenever u want from the first strike to the last. (i cant help u if u want to use it twice quickly)

Thanks mgenkit, also finally saw a diamond warblade (100 attk and some def) in the shop at floor 99 of the run I was commenting during. I have now done enough runs to collect all eyes, all spells, almost all artifact charms, and about half the artifact gear TWICE (lost saves) and have yet to see one drop in a chest or show in the shop before 99 though.

I'm playing this game at work, and for some reason, it isn't staying saved despite being logged into Kongregate - I was on level 80 when I left at 7 this morning, and now I'm back on 1 with NOTHING at 6 tonight. What's going on?

I agree with Jaywad about the size of the screen - old farts like me need bigger screens. And Evernewb, there IS an artifact sword, called the Nature Knife, that has 90 on it.

oh, and some good advice that isn't quite obvious: if you can't get a significant amount of attack in an element try to get 0 in it instead. Ie: a fire cutlass and 2 blast rings is a decent idea but a witch sword will often do less than a starting knife.

There has GOT to be a missing weapon somewhere in there, you basically go from a pure 70 attk or 65/20 water to a titanium shortsword at 135 attk with NOTHING in between, I'm a good enough manager to change gear around for effective defense but that's still 20-30 floors where you are hopelessly under-equipped. ...Maby it's an artifact I've just never picked up: if it was a normal I'd have gotten it or at least seen it in a shop after doing enough runs to fill up the trophy room, loose my save, and get it halfway full again.

To be honest starting at the shop you visited before kind of has a disadvantage since I use the starting stage to get my items before I rush the floors.

@Midian2011 The "eye" artifacts are always in use, you can see the monsters stats that you couldn't see before while fighting them. It's in the upper right hand corner of the screen... Hope this is any help :)

Awesome.. Very captivating and enjoyable, well done. There's a lot of constructive criticism in the comments that I hope you pick up, for a first flash its very good, hope to see more. Good luck!

FUN FACT: About 26 of the in-game achievements can be obtained if you complete the whole dungeon on your first try (also on your first try after clearing all data). Not counting artifact acheivements, 14. Not counting attack-related achievements, 20. Not counting money-related achievements, 21. Not counting artifact, attack-related, and money-related achievements, 9.

I LOVE this game, so fun. Couple issues tho, like the sorting system. There's a button that filters out non-artifacts so that only artifacts show... but i like to keep em so i don't need that button... if there was one that said normal items, it'd be much easier to sell at the EVIL shopkeeper's stand (why the hell does he want to kill me all of a sudden if i keep selling and buying from him???).

...looking at the blocked bits it seems to me that you are supposed to be able to move over gold bags once they are picked up, on the other hand these levels are picked from a set rather than procedurally generated so maby they're just being annoying. PS: maker did an epic job balancing if this is really their first game, only gripe I can think of is the vagueness of the magic stats, even with all the eyes and a couple hours running numbers I couldn't figure out how it was supposed to be working (damage range was wider than the difference between plausible systems).

TERRIBLE GAME... NO WAY OF BUYING MORE HP POTIONS WHEN NEEDED... HAVE TO COMPLETE FLOORS... BEFORE THAT HAPPENS YOU DIE

This game os hard until the first 200 floors you have explored, and by that time you have a lot of gold and artifacts. I was able to go from 50 to 100 without stopping. You're basically suited if you have 30k gold.
