actually i always liked the game concept, but was driven away everytime by energy and token cash-grab. but as it is now, i actually have legit options to chose from if i dont want to pay. you get your 5/5, well done sir

Coming back to play this after the edgebee finally reduced the barrage of microtransaction-garnering game design choices. Still infuriating - you level up abilities to gain a fraction of a percentage increase in effectiveness, yet enemies come equipped with vastly stronger versions of them. For example, it'll take 40 levels before an Illusionist can finish the beeline to Charm (let alone level it up enough to make it reliable) yet there's a level 25 mob that casts it freely, with 80-85% success each time. Don't get me started on the mobs that cast Heavy Tax, and can steal up to half a character's gold, before running away. I suspect this game was designed to wear out keyboards by causing players to bash their heads into them in frustration.

It keeps telling me I've been inactive too long, and won't let me refresh or anything to get back in. Anyone else getting that?

Wish the daily reward had a stardard reset timer. Making it 24 hours after it was last taken insures it will be pushed back each time it's obtained, which is annoying as hell. Just reset at midnight or something.

Looks like it's back up and running (at least for me at around 06:45 GMT). Seem to have lost at least a couple of days on the daily reward counter, though.

I remember playing this around when it first trended on Kongregate in 2010. I'll be honest, back then they used to give you a limited number of 'moves' per day, and made you pay through the nose for more. Everyone hated it, everyone hated the game; now that I'm taking another look, I'm genuinely impressed that Edgebee actually removed that function - though some of the game structure still echoes the now-removed game feature (long, winding corridors, making you retrace your own steps for hidden loot, etc.). It's like seeing a scar from a tumour surgery: It's a little unsightly, but ultimately a testament to a better resolution. I only wish it were like that when the game had first made its debut...

@Atalan: You seem to forget that 1st: If they were gone their servers would be shut down and 2nd: they are still active at other games (at least S&P2)

Apparently EdgeBeeStudios has been silent on all channels for months. This might mean that something has happened to the people in charge. Ah well. It happens when a company is small and depends on a few people in charge. this also means that EdgeBeeStudios is effectively gone. Maybe one of their kids or relatives is still collecting money but it would be unrealistic to expect much without the programmers around. RIP EdgeBeeStudios.
