I think this game could be much better by making it singleplayer and therefore dropping the waiting and paying. The developer could've gotten at least 1750$ by winning the weekly and monthly 1st prize and that's not counting the combination with advertisement. I hope they will see that making monetary restrictions on a game doesn't pay and makes less players happy.
Sad way to spoil an otherwise great game.

"Is this how you treat all your costumers?" YES! When i don't have what they are looking for, i try to give them something else that might replace it! What's so strange about doing that?!

Sorry Edgebee Studios, but my time is precious. So if you want you can wait until tomorrow for me to play again. However if you donate 10 tokens(or just 10 bucks) right now, I will reconsider this and continue playing today. HOW DO YOU LIKE IT HUH?

I thought, okay I spend tokens on this recipe, but I need tokens to buy the ingredients too?! Now I start to agree with those who say, you went a bit too far there...

This is pretty accurate for what running a store is actually like, apart from the haggling. Especially the really rude customers.

Great game. I even thought about purchasing one of the starter kits. Then I realized that the cost in Kreds would be nearly a hundred dollars! Are you kidding me?! Not a chance.

I agree with everyone here I mean this game has lot's of potential and it deserves a 10/10 rating but with the token system this game is just another MMO game, I know everyone have said this before but with ads you can make a lot of money and if the game is free or at least doesn't have a token price on everything, people will start donating and trust me there are a lot of great games that don't have such systems but they are still getting lot's of money from their fans, donations and ads. All I want to say is - this game will never become as famous as other games unless the token system is either removed OR changed. Other than that 3/5 for now :\

The game keeps your real money if you lose. Token items don't carry over. So the game can just screw you out of real money if it feels like it. I hope this doesn't become a trend on Kongregate

You know, I wouldnt mind continuing this game if you could at least let me play for as many days as I wanted without having to pay for it. That is such a load of shit

I LOVE this game. BUT the tokens part really do tick me off. I'd understand to pay if the game was to be on it's own like World of Warcraft, Minecraft. Stuff that's basicly a big company. But even they don't have "tokens" or Kreds or any of the sort. This is a flash game. Found over the internet with no download. There should be nothing that would cost in order to get them like the tokens in this, but I and other people will continue to play as far as it takes us without the tokens.

This game could be great, and I only have one complain: Why 30mn wait between every day? That just bores whoever is playing and has no use.

I share the feelings of many other people that the game is a bit broken in the amount of money necessary to actually pay to play and how frustrating it is to try and play with out paying. But what really stuck out to me that I don't see too many people talk about is the guild system. Its essential to the advancement of a store to have a guild, and yet there is no place to post a guild message, no option to mail a letter to all guild members in the mail page, no guild chat, no "apply for guild" page,.... no support for guilds at all. Its like they were a last minute addition that someone stuck in without the time to actually make them a fluid part of the game.

To everybody who is complaining about the in-game purchase things: Don't worry. The beta test for S&P 2 has none of the annoying aspects of the game, but still has bonus items for items you can normally buy, or something not required for gameplay (Like days).

3/5. It's actually an incredibly fun and well-made game, but the amount of limitations implemented to push people towards paying for a game of SNES graphics is laughable. As Thatguy and lolkiller point out in the comments, this game could have have been so much better with fewer token limitations.

I have to agree with so many others: the balance between basic and premium content makes the game less than fun. I don't object to premium content, but it is such an enormous part of this game, and you have to spend so very much to unlock even a fraction of the content that I might as well go to the store and buy and real game with better production values. Idea 5. Execution: 4. premium content brings the rating down to 2, though.

The game is great. Good fun. Problem is the tokens system. Restricting so much content to over-priced tokens isn't a great idea. One token works out to being about 0.5p/1 cent, but considering a lot of items require tokens in the tens and hundreds, that adds up. I know that tokens can be won in the daily gift feature, but even then that's only 5, and only a chance. Something that wouldn't significantly hurt the devs' income would be to give each player say, 5 tokens (the equivalent of 2.5p/5 cents, hardly a massive gift), each day they actually play - thus rewarding players for loyalty. This way, players are able to access the features that are token-exclusive, but they'd have to wait to accumulate enough tokens. The devs have to make money somehow, but being greedy about it isn't the best way. Just like in this game, trying to get more money from customers sometimes works; other times they just get frustrated, don't buy anything at all, and you lose a customer - a lose-lose situation.

SUGGESTION : maybe you should put something like 10k = 1 token (well it's hard for low level people like me atm but i know low levels, get better and rich so they can buy upgrades and things ^^)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
If you want money from tokens - with regret, but fine - let it be, BUT let nonToken players enjoy it too. REMOVE the time limit between days... please... We can play without tokens, but waiting 15 min. for 2 min play - it's ridiculous... ._.

i wish i could tell my thug to go to other shops dressed as an adventerer.then he would be like i need (item) to kill (thing) then give me the item,go back the next day and say "i woke up and i reallizied im to weak to take on that monster

I don't comment much on this website. I only do when I feel a game is exceptionally fun to play and worth praise. This game is exceptionally fun to play, but unfortunately I'm not praising it at all. Waiting to play every few rounds (with the option of paying to play, which is despicable on a website like this) severely interrupts the flow of the game and makes me not want to touch it anymore. It's frustrating. I understand as a developer that produces quality games, you deserve what monetary compensation you manage to receive for your creation, however your egregious implementation of token demanding mechanics destroys the integrity of your product. Sorry, but it's just such a shame for such a unique and captivating game.

Ok, so Ive set up a pretty well stocked shop. I got blacksmith and a tailor making the best weapons and clothing money can buy. But somehow this guy comes in EVERY single DAY asking for mana potions. Sometimes he even drops in twice the same day. Asking for potions. And when I tell him "no, sorry we dont have that" he gets angry and wanders off with only to come back again and ask the SAME damn question again. Why can I not just stab him in the eye?

It might be nice if you were given a warning about improvements built using gold before taking the money. I've basically just blown 25k because of needing guild workers to make the carpenters room.

Same as has been said here a lot. Great game, but too much bent on making money.. Just use adds or something. I'm probably going to keep playing this, but I'm never going to spend kreds on this..

I've gotta toss my displeasure with this game into the hat with what seems like everyone else. The game has the potential to be an amazing game worth many hours of play, but the 15 minute wait and consistent bombardment ways to spend tokens gives this a 1/5. I'm curious if the developers are looking at the negative feedback and working on something that'll improve the overall gameplay.

There should me a menu screen. Too many times, when I load up the game, I go to a different tab, and then come back to the game to realize that I've wasted a day.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
how great would it be if there was a mix between this game and a real RPG? like some players had shops while others actually went on adventures and bought stuff from you?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"We just need to accept change." Uh, no. If we did, these games would pop up like rabbits. Instead we're sending a clear message. All the top comments, and all the low ratings are sending a very clear message. "$!@^ Tokens." Yes, we understand you need to eat, but you do NOT need to be a fat guy stroking a white cat.

I need a big freaking sign on my shop saying DOES NOT STOCK POTIONS. I mean, get mad all you want, but my shop only has a blacksmith and a tailor in it >.>

how is this on LATEST hot new games AGAIN??? this is the second time it happened. its not new, look at the date it was published

I'm not opposed to giving the devs some money for a game I enjoy, but I am not going to feed this game quarters like it's an arcade machine. Give me the option to "buy" the game, and I'll give you $5 or something.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Between making you join a guild to improve your shop, requiring tokens to get recipes, and limiting how many days you can complete, it seems like this game is designed purely to prevent people from playing it.

does anyone think that when someone says that they failed a quest, that they are really just doing nothing to get a free item.
