I played this game when it was originally released on Newgrounds. It was great for its time, and people praised it for its tight and responsive control scheme. But, as with all the best games coded in Flash's heyday, it's aged like milk. Plus, a decade of different browsers on different operating systems with different keyboard drivers has turned those once-great controls into something slippy and unresponsive. If you want the real Meat Boy experience, I suggest you go buy Super Meat Boy instead.

i've played super meat boy (available on steam)! IT IS SO MUCH HARDER!!! you all should try it, but its $15, so wait for the summer sale! its so much fun though!

Just a warning to anybody who plays both this game and Realm of the Mad God. If you use Chrome and you disable pepflashplayer to reduce lag in Realm of the Mad God, then your Meat Boy data will be cleared and you'll have to restart. I learned this the hard way.

For anyone that has playd Binding of Isaac they would realize the boss in this game is just like the 11th secret ending of the Binding of Isaac

This wouldn't be nearly as hard if Meat Boy didn't have soap permanently glued to him. Having fun regardless, though.

As one who owns the PC version of Super Meat Boy (Search for me on Steam :p), I can honestly say that - Due to the way this versions "Jump" works (And the sensitivity of the buzz-saws), that this version is harder :D

Frustrating game, congrats, since I'm sure that was the goal and all... just wish it didn't warrant a BotD. And medium at that. It'd be funny if it wasn't tragically frustrating :p

From somebody who's played and beaten Super Meat Boy, This isn't that hard. The only real thing that makes it challenging is how screwed up the movement is.

"Sadly the hot coffee final ending had been censored because a few people were big babies and complained repeatedly to the staff, we are just as upset as you, it was a nice pay off for getting all those band aids.
anyone wearing their big boy/girl pants can easily do a search on youtube for the ending and see it how it was originally designed.
