Rival Tribe: "What is this? They are leveling the land around us? Fools! Now we have more land upon which to build our great empire!"
Tidal Wave: "Lol nope."

Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Give a man a flat, unoccupied 8 X 8 plot of land, he still starves to death.

Perhaps you could make it so that you have to both defeat all the enemies in addition to collecting the totem? Quite often I don't have to fight at all. Really nice game overall, though. :)

the upper parts of the screen are so fuzzy ... like some kind of out-of-focus. But there is no such thing as a focus in isometric games. It just hurts my eyes.

Great game, really addictive and fun. Only qualms were what has already been mentioned in the top comments. Would be great to see a 'build your own' feature too. Was slow to get to grips with the isometric layout, confusing at times but overall a really nice art style. Also i liked how it started off really gentle and nice, lovely snowy landscapes, and then quickly turns into basically wiping out the red green and yellow tribes so that blue can reign supreme.. quite sinister!

so let me get this straight on the third mission the reds dont die unless I drown them? They can take my entire base without a loss? pathetic

1) Build flat. 2) Avoid attack until you reach population limit. 3) Once you get Wave totem build high as possible then spam it once you have a good mana recharge - the AI never builds high. 4) Swamp is VERY effective, and Whirlpool is great in the early levels.

One thing I've noticed is that once you get a building to one of the top 2 tiers it's nearly invincible, could it have a health bar to make them easier to capture?

I watched some guy play this called crossknights that name was his youtube channel and he said he played populous. + if you watched him

Best strategy I've found so far for the late game is to terraform a huge space for your buildings to up mana generation. then, when it gets going well and you get in the 300's, build a max-height mountain somewhere near your buildings, but not disrupting them, and put a waypoint on top. after that, when you get to 450-ish, send everyone to the waypoint, and once a few are on there, use the rain totem (last one under wind, cost 500). your mountain should be left standing as well as some of the higher areas of ground. immediately set your people to start making houses, and flatten the top of the mountain so you still have a house left. if there are any survivors, either wait to make another storm if you've got good mana generation, or just terraform a bridge through the water to kill off the survivors. + so others can see

There are some tricks to terraforming. If you terraform up twice then down once on the same spot you get a clearing of four scares, costs 40, only up it costs you 90. Lowering three elevated dots in a row costs you 60, unless you lower where the terrain rise starts, only a hole remains, you'll need to fill it up again, total costs 30. Another trick, if the enemy is on a mountain, you can lower its slope, destroying their settlement. For level 19, only build castles, do it quickly with the reduced costs from the terraforming trick, then attack green. Red is situated badly and won't be a problem for a while. Keep on building, unless the enemy has little buildings on the front, then attack. Use lightning, it disperses big buildings and the enemy has to use multiple small ones, making small houses and occupying enemy combatants. Easy peasy. (Never use Armageddon, all units/buildings become hero’s. For me it ended with my last hero drawing with the last enemy hero, ending in a win...)

it was an incredible game. I really like the skirmish mode. also I would really love a second one. more powers and different land masses. you shouldalso add longergame modes. and listen tome rambolling on tata.

I think my earth heroe is a show off I built a path straight to the enemy but no he has to make his own path and walk around the island and com in right next to my bridge while leading half of my guys -_-

Game is realy epic, but i think can become better. For example, you can make negative weather conditions, like spontaneous drought or earthquake, which can not be call by totem. Maybe it bad idea, but how about land and sea monster? They can attack when notice people or settlimets and can throw fireballs or approach to melee combat. It would be funny if peoples build not only fortress, but farms, mines or other buildings, which be decorative and create the impression that they live like real people... Maybe be good if you add animals to game, like wolf or deer.
