The last update made the game f***** impossible. At least level 19 is. Mana takes too long to get, and everything is ten times the price it was? You nerfed EVERY totem into oblivion. Changing my 5 star rating to 3, until you rebalance. Geez.
Just had a go on Level 19, it's very doable :D Maybe change your strategy ... guide rather than fight - remember you only need to collect your totem for this island :D

You know what would really fix the complaints about the isometric view? I think you should put an option in to display colours by heights, ie height 1 is sandy yellow, height 2 is green, height 3 is orange, etc. For the fire mountain, it would look the same, but once the fires burn out it changes to the usual colours.

Amazing game I love it!!
Maybe make it so each tribe or faction has aesthetically different infrastructure not just different colours? Like age of empires! :D
Great work!!! :D

I have played many games before. Most developers don't bother replying to our suggestions. There are few, however, who do. They are the ones we love most :D You not only fall in that group, but you tend to be one of the ones who update quickly, too!

Level 30 seems to be buggy... it gets so slow, that soldiers dont fight and i got to burn down every single buildung of the enemy...
Sorry to hear that, it 'may' be down to machine spec's. I know that Safari on Mac doesn't run Flash too well. You may like to try a different browser. If you don't mind me asking what Spec is you machine? I developed Reprisal on a PC Pentium D, 2.3ghz machine with 3 gigs of memory ... which is quite old :D

Maybe Like have a Speed up button because its kinda slow just watching them build settlements you know. But overall I liked it I give it 3 out of 5

armaggedon is the most bizarre thing I ever seen in a game.... please explain us WHAT the hell out is happening when you use it!?!

Pro Tip (makes this game a breeze): At the very beginning of a battle build your ground higher than the enemy's. Then build your population until you get to the point that you can get 500 mana relatively easily. At this point, gather your troops on your high ground, and keep releasing tidal waves until your ground is the only ground left above water. It's a devastatingly effective technique!

Tips for anyone having problems: Building a plain giant mass of land is the way to go in every level. The more you do it, the more you can build, and consequently increase population. After the Tidal Wave is unlocked, always build your land at least 2 squares above every other tribe, and mana charge until you can wash everyone out of their islands. Doing this, it's an easy to get hard badge

I remember playing a game similar to this one on my Super Nintendo. Thank you for producing this, you've brought back many memories.

I like this game well enough to come back and play a few skirmishes now and then... good idea to add those. :) I also appreciate the attempts to "balance" the game by increasing the mana cost of terraforming, however I don't think this had quite the desired effect. Now I just have to wait a few seconds for the population to grow before mindlessly flattening everything away. The exploit where I can destroy another tribes buildings by terraforming levels 2+ down to 0 still exists in this version. I found it was still possible to beat the main campaign levels 1-29 using only terraforming and waypoint. When watching some of the you tube videos electrolyte linked to, I was struck by what different games we seemed to be playing. This game would improve from a light (but still fun!) diversion to a more engaging exercise in strategy if for some reason I *had* to use the 13 other spells collected.

A few things. First thing, excellent game and excellent music. Second thing, there is a bug with the badges, I got the Popularity Contest Badge by unlocking level 30, before I even started to play level 30. Third thing, improvements, the skirmish mode would be better if i had options to customize the battle. The game could also have a "return main men" button in all screens. A zoom option would be appreciated. A fourth thing, excellent work with updates, updates are quick and are frequent.

For anyone which has problems to pass the levels, there is a very simple hint. Seize grounds (especially at game's start) to level 1 (zero is the water where you can't build) and expand at any place where your troops builds houses. When you get some head in strength, you can beat easy your opponents. I did it without problem until level 29 with minimum spell usage except some volcanos and apocalypse. In level 29 i used an away from two opponents logic (I expanded my base to upper right corner) and i volcano-striked my strongest enemy at his strong building areas (example in middle of 4 castles) to stop his advance. With this logic, I ruined my opponents' expand while I was slowing increasing in strength. Also if you feel sure and you have the mana, you can use armageddon (works just fine while you are stronger enough than your other opponents). I hope this helped you :)

Here are my hints for anyone trying to beat the game. I will start by saying the new changes such as click and drag combined with more expensive terraforming was a good thing. The game seems much more balanced now. After you get flood it is your best friend. Just make sure that you build at a higher elevation than your enemies and expand like crazy in the opposite direction of the enemy. When you use the flood make sure you are in "make settlement" because everything gets shifted, which has the added bonus of cleaning up any burt ground. Use way points to move your people to areas that you are building, you can even make it in the ocean and build towards it as people lay down settlements. Every time you can send a flood do it until your enemies are gone. The earlier levels are fairly easy, enjoy!!!

Some control over the opponents, skills available, aggression, and map size would be much appreciated in Skirmish mode. Every skirmish I've played so far is too easy.

Definite bug. Used Armageddon on level 28, with my army far outnumbering the enemy. After the last enemy had died, it said I was defeated. Also, I had a level before when I used Armageddon when I was outnumbered, and even though i was about to get taken out by the other two enemies, I was still given a victory. The whole Armageddon process is kinda buggy
Just updated so when you use Armageddon it doesn't hide the hud display. This way you can see how many tribe members are left in each team making it clearer I hope :D

Also, I think the recent change of terraforming's cost was a good idea. Right now it's low enough to be used freely, but high enough so it isn't total mindless expansion. Some of the other effects, though, I think should be reduced slightly.
Thank you, yes I think the increase helps to use the terraform wisely. Just updated with 'back to title' option in menus also some minor bug fixes on saves and balancing :D

There were definitely a number of flaws in this game which reduced strategy greatly, but overall I'm finding this very enjoyable. Good concept, though obviously not original nor meant to be original, and the gameplay was fairly straightforward and immersing. Like many others have said, though, an option to scroll out would have been really helpful.
