level 19 seems very impossible at this point with green rushing and uber powers flying everywhere, every time i think i got a good city built up, here comes swamps, storm clouds, and heroes

I think it would be great if there was a speed up button, because sometimes I just sit there waiting impatiently for my people to get their move on...

...you do know it's "okay", not "hokay", don't you? I'm not sure why but it's really making the game unjoyable constantly seeing the confirm button say "hokay".

I think A.I. for the enemy is a little unbalanced. example: If there is a large yellow army and a large red army and a small player army, the red's and yellow's will focus nearly all of their forces on the player instead of fighting each other. I don't know if that is on purpose all I know is that it makes me sooooooooo mad when I'm trying to build my armies. In fact it's for this reason I haven't beaten this game in a week of playing it. I just want to know if it's on purpose or if it's some kind of mistake with the A.I.

Building on the highest level possible, doing everything you can to survive, and then drowning everyone in a water storm. Any survivors? Repeat.
My other favorite strategy is to get a decently large base, and then drill with whirlpools through the heart of the enemy.

lvl 19
1. terraform, get people and mana- the basic stuff 2. make a waypoint to the north, parallel with the totem 3. make a path leading to that waypoint and isolate people from their previous land 4. put the waypoint at totem and create a new path leading there. then make a run for it
on other totem collecting maps, i just ignore the enemy and make a run for it after getting a few soldiers and sufficient mana

I like this game, but it seems to me that all there is to it is terraforming... Just make everything flat and you win (kinda).

Very Secret Diary of the Deity:
Day 1: Flattened land
Day 2: Flattened land
Day 3: Flattened land
Day 4: Flattened land
Day 5: Flattened land
Day 6: Told my people to slaughter all in my name. Had some scones.

I've found that when attacking your troops tend to always go to the right of where they came from. this can be disastrous when you are trying to attack an enemy on your left

Kudos on a great game. I'm stuck on island 19 right now. I've tried a couple of different strategies but no luck yet.

There is a real equilibrium breaker. If the opponent built his village on a second+ level, you can always destroy everything just terraforming down just 1 step out of his controlled area. The area will shrink one step, and you can go on terraforming down the next step, destroying everything he owns.
If you simply built everything at first level, you can then rise back the ground, your people will claim the new ground for you. You can solve in this way any level but the few in which the opponent build his village at the first floor.

S.1:"what are doing standing on the coast?" S.2:" waiting for our leader to raise land so we can expand there." S.1" you do know that leads to the enemy and there's a huge amount of unexplored land to the other side right?" S.2:"I just got such a good feeling that i wont go expand except in front of me."......It's really annoying that i cant command soldiers. it would be better if i could get a group to expand in one direction while another in another direction. It also annoys me that to make them expand somewhere else i have to make them ALL go to the checkpoint, especially so when there are enemies nearby. Put in unit selection and fix the placement of the totems and cursor and this game would be even better.

There needs to be some seriously brain upgrading for your troops. I'm tired of them just hanging out trying to fight enemies they can't get to when there is a bridge to enemies they can. So then I just end up with a lot of troops doing nothing and then get overpowered by other tribes coming in.

I hate it that, when I click the Look for a Fight button, 2/3 of my troops just walk to the edge of my island to try and fight the enemy who they can't reach, instead of taking the land bridge to the enemy they can ctually attack :l

Very nice game, I completed it with using almost exclusively terraform. Others were used just to speed up cleaning the last buildings of enemies.

Never under estimate the power of whirl pools!
Tips: Build your land as high as possible, this will make construction faster AND when you are near the enemy, you will prevent them from building.
note: whirl pools always move from northwest to south east but not in a straight line.

Mechanics/Suggestions (continued)
- Make the role and use of heros apparent to the player (same with leaders). They seemed to die far to fast and do far too little good for the cost and time to create them.
- As mentioned, the fire hero level is out of whack with the difficulty curve unless you teach players to play better earlier, or make it evident that you want them to just get the totem and not kill the others (if that is the idea).
Cool game though, very Populous-like as mentioned and different from 90% of the retread flash games.

The mechanics of this need to be a bit clearer to the player. (have to put this in two posts because of length)
- What each spell does: For example why use the firestorm instead of thunder storm when they appear to do the same thing but one is 1/3 cheaper.
- Make clear how units go about targeting, is it nearest or something else? Seemed kind of random at times.
- Make clear when a unit will build a new building and how the whole process works. I couldn't get the last level until I puzzled this out a bit by watching the CPU go about building a few times.

agree with several other of the top comments; here is a enhancement suggestion - could the replay after the mission pop more? It could show troop movements, an overall timeline, or the relative strength.

After playing a good 3-4 hours, I changed my rating to a 4/5. My only real complaint is that the abilities don't have a pop-up tool tip to describe exactly what they do.... It also needs a sandbox mode with a GARGANTUAN map mode.

Aww.. I really wish I was able to continue even after accomplishing my objective. I really like to dominate the enemy and cover the entire map with my people, and sometimes I end up delaying my objective as long as possible just so I can complete everything
