I think it is no surprise that the feedback on this game rather mixed. This isnt the usual interchangable stuff you get elsewhere. Maybe it is not your kind of humor, maybe you insist no perfectly balancing, maybe you find other things to complain, in any case does that doesnt mean the game is bad, it is just not yours. After years I still come back to this game, because I dont know any other browser game that is like this one. I love the story, I love its characters, I know it has some small flaws, but they appear minor compared to the whole

Sorry, boring, most units are essentially useless, especially as farmers are OP, you can mass farmers and with 2-4 points of musket + fully upgraded farmers, this game is done.

who ever said they had archers on the last level are lying... The archers flee to a different town and there is no option to keep them. So I wasted a bunch of upgrades on them and was left with a "skeleton crew" after they fled... Had to restart the whole game and concentrated on farmers and clerics.

level 11 was really easy. had archers maxed and the passive skill on healers. just place the healer behind the archer in a pair. 2 pairs can cover the entire map. had maxed musket, didn't use it at all.

Aside from key controls and some way to restart and/or respec (I started a new game because I couldn't get past level 11), a fast-forward hold key could help (like, hold it down, and the second you let up it snaps back to normal speed, since it's quite easy to get quickly overrun once the enemies REACH you). It's also slightly difficult to click specific tiles easily, but overall, it's a really well-made and interesting game.

Once I had 6 types of units, and enemies were everywhere, it got kind of tough to place units in the chaos. A tactical pause button would help.

Poorly designed. I had written out a detailed summary of the design flaws, but Kongregate only gave me 1000 characters, so you can blame them for preventing me from giving constructive criticism.
Has potential, but needs to be rebalanced in a significant way.

What's with tower defense games that don't let you sell units or see their range once placed? Hated it in Protector, hate it here.

This was was great...at first.
Then came the endless 'oh, the zombie is going to run past me? i think i will aim at someone else for no reason'. Over and over again. Digging is useless. 4 rounds in a row and only found one coin. And in those four rounds, even with all of my upgrades in Fortune, im only getting about a gold a round (if that).
When the enemy keeps getting stronger, your AI gets dumber, and you get no more upgrades for a few rounds other then a new type or villager (that you can't upgrade because of the lack of coins/gems) your dead in the water.

I don't know why but it seems that most work by this developer dont have badges. It is a really shame as they are really interesting. Definitely deserve a badge!
