To those looking for Auto Fire, you can glitch the game to auto fire. While holding down the left mouse button, click the right mouse button, then hit escape. You should now autofire.
+1 this for others who want autofire.

figured it out i was doing it wrong gotta stay far enough away from them. also, with all trophies you have to be level 54 to upgrade everything all the way... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Also, just a little thing, maybe add an 'are you sure want to leave' box when pressing 'quit' on the pause menu. I accidentally clicked it, and I kind of rage quit because I (obviously) had to start over again (The rage quit is just me, but I think the extra safety is a good idea :)

I don't really like games where dying means you have to start all over, I wish it was a massive level loss if you died rather than a complete reset. But it's fine I guess, love the graphics.

TO REACH A HIGH LEVEL: *There is a limit to the # of enemies that can be onscreen at once!* Once you reach lvl ~20, don't kill the blue Seekers; they will group together and all other enemies will start to vanish! The Seekers' speed is based on how far away you are; if you keep moving (even slowly) they won't get you. You can control when new enemies appear by killing some Seekers; keep Piercing low so you don't kill them all at once. Let your health fill up and repeat. Focus on dodging; attack in the direction you dodge in case new enemies jump in at you. Improve Magnet, Pixels, and Health. You max all upgrades at lvl 54. TO GET A HIGH SCORE: Each time your chain increases by 1, you get 1% more points per kill; e.g. a chain of 100 doubles your points/kill. For a high chain, you can't get hit, so avoid the later levels, which get crazy. Don't improve Magnet, Pixels, or Health at all. Once you reach lvl ~10, stay still to avoid pixels and just rack up kills.

After i understand how levels work, spending points in "pixel" and "magnet" feels pointless. its like spending points on a Fast Forward button. In most games you relate "magnets" and "more currency" with investments that will payback after a time. I am not complaining... just stating it was... diferent. (5/5 and waiting for the story mode)

****NOTICE: If you change the quality of your game graphics (by right clicking on screen while in game) while your ship is touching any side of the screen your ship can get stuck permanently on that side (top, bottom, left and right). Just change the quality in the middle of the screen to avoid any mishaps.****

I love the fact that there are so many different things you can do with this game. Fill in your bestiary, try and bet your friends top score, getting on the high score list, play for fun, unlock achievements and unlock kongregate's achievements. 5/5 for sure.

kongregate staff, you cant get more then 50, so ban these hackers

To get the score badge, put your first 3-4 upgrades into score. But don't put any into raising pixel amounts, because you want to get as many points as you can before the game difficulty ramps up.

A hint to all:
If you get hit with the Shield, it doesn't reset the Chain. Make sure to have one. Also the fire rate drop is very useful to clean the area.

Lol, played once, got to 200,000 points and said "man this game is way too freaking hard! a medium badge for 500,000 points? Not worth it." (reads comments) "wait... you can upgrade stuff?" next game: just shy of 15 million points, lol. Remember kids, always read the instructions first.

Like the back story. Simple and addictive gameplay. Lots of color and liked the pixel bestiary a lot. Great game awarded 5/5 stars.

The 'stay still' strategy in top rated works well for the badge of the day as well. Just invest in a few points multipliers (of course) and a bit of firepower to stop you going insane from boredom.

lmao got to lvl 50, everything maxed out then got swarmed by the little purple things that come out after you hit( and defeat) those teal-ish ball things >_<

Badge Tip: Unlock all silver trophies first, that will net you +3 skill points at game start. With that, play a game and use your skill points to max out only one skill to level 6. (You only need to level until level 6) after you are done with the golds, you'll get a +4 skill points to start. Use em to get the platinum achievements and you are done.

A little guide for people who want all the trophies: I advise to get all silver and bronze trophies (including Balanced Soldier, Marksman, Turret Master and Minesweeper) before doing anything gold or platinum (except hardcore). HARDCORE - just survive, powerups are your friends; CHAIN - stand in the middle, max out extra shots and speed, AVOID LEVELING UP, grab a shield as a safety net; SCORE - same as chain (some levels in extra score can help); TERMINATOR - play normally (avoid pixel upgrades) or same as chain; DODGE - don't shoot anything, dodge; LEVEL - play normally (this time pixel upgrades can help get levels faster); SKILL MASTER - start game, pick a skill, get some levels, upgrade skill to max, repeat; SLAYER - Vessel King is the last to appear and needs a high level, play normally (once again, avoid pixel upgrades and grab powerups whenever possible - they help ALOT). Hope it helps.

I would love to see the achievement list during in game through the pause menu so I know what I need to get and not remember what I need to do. Please do take this into consideration for your second game. The game is a solid 5/5 and the music is just great, I would love to see another part and it having a campaign. Great job. :)

"A very cookie cutter shooter" Anything but cookie cutter. Sorry that I took it way out of context Fricknmaniac. I just think this has to be an extremely engaging, well-made game that's way out of most of the others' league.

"Congratulations! You just won the Master Trophy Collector Badge..." But not the one for 500,000 points? Is it even possible to less than 500,000 points from a chain of 1000?

Best way to get the endurance badges (1k combo, 1million points, etc), is to move very little. Take your time...it will take longer to level up, but it will be much easier for much longer, and as your combo score climbs, so will your high score (if you get 1k combo, you should already have 1million points). Also, the best upgrades to get in the beginning are more bullets and faster shot, as they are the only necessary ones for immediate protection/survival when you're going for the long haul like this.

more and more... mouse or keyboard... pick one, blast it! but at least it doesn't lag or freeze on me. better rewards than today's BotD too, in all respects. megaweird, but megacool at the same time.
