Everyone trying to get the impossible badge.
I made a list of reasons why it is harder than it sounds.
1. The voices are messed up, which is bad because its a danger indication. Instead of it being clear, it sounds like "WatchARRODIYourdeadsLOWDOWN"
2. No way to know how far or near you are to the exit.
3. Not test of reflexes, but test of luck if the game bombards you with dangers or actually do it reasonably.

wow the colours of obstacles and background are way too blended/similar. This is not even "realistic difficulty" unless the rider is blind. This is pointlessly hard.

God I can't stand that slow motion stupidity! This game isn't that hard in my eyes, but god that impossible badge is hard. Am I contradicting myself? Not really. The game isn't that hard, but what stoped me the most where low hanging tree branch. When you run from the rider, the slow motion plus that branch will actualy kill you more often than anything else in the game.

No matter what i do, i can't get past the spears in the ground, or otherwise known as a pit. I bet i have to hold down the up key for a while...or what?

here are a few pointers
the game uses WASD and space
use space against farmers, jump at shield spartans, use shield (hold back) against charging spartans, hold dow for arrows from behind, and for the ones that hunt you, you can hold down to dodge his attack but you can get away from him if you hold forward long enough but be ready for whatever comes next
the game also has audio cues for each of them but regular obstacles so you'll need to pay close attention as the regular obstacle may seem to come out of nowhere if you're heavily focusing on cues and vice versa

"Wait, that's not what happened. No, that's not how the story goes. I don't think the story ends like this." Correct. It ended when the player realized the description of this game was a bald-faced lie, that the challenge is not from reflexes, but half from the crappy artwork that blends half the obstacles in with the background and half from the game just STRAIGHT UP NOT TELLING YOU HOW TO PLAY THE GAME, after which he told Evil-Dog to shove this game up his posterior and bemoaned the fact that Kongregate will not allow him to give a 0/5 rating.

To acquire the Impossible Badge it's a matter of slowing down for certain events EVEN when a guy is chasing you, so long as you speed up to quickly dodge a number of branches or jump over things while slowing down if 2 sets of arrows arrive or any Farmers appear it'll allow you to have more time to react than constantly sprinting. I acquired the badge by slowing down every now and then, usually when arrows appear (especially 2 sets of them, as in from behind and front) or when 2 or more enemies lined up. Try to get used to their lines, being able to distinguish them is key, even if it's sometimes difficult to get the shield guys and the duelists mixed up... the guys who chase you may sometimes over-speak others making it harder so if you're uncertain I'd advise to slow down and immediately assess what's coming after you or something like that.
I hope this helps a bit more as a handy set of tips.

Having two instances of the game open simultaneously slowed it down enough that I had a lot more time to assess and react to obstacles. Cheating without cheating. Also, Athenian soldiers with Spartan shields.

arrows coming in front of me just after I already dodged arrows from behind? 3 hoplites in a row and a duelist to mix the voices and leave me almost no time to react? random obstacle generation sucks in this game. and on top of that, keys that don't immediately register at times, causing me to die more times than I'd like to admit. without these flaws this could be an excellent game. but now, as soon as I get the impossible badge I'm out of here.

There appears to be a problem with the hardcore timing challenges. I just completed three hardcore levels without ever releasing the fast forward button, and I only got the timing achievements for the first level. Repeated several times to be sure.

I think any hoplite who saw this game would be offended that they're literally as effective at stopping you as a fallen log.

Log/Spikes/Shielded Unit = Jump = W key
Arrow/Horseman = Block = A key
Branch/Tent/Reverse-Arrows = Duck = S key
Farmer = Attack = Spacebar
ALWAYS SPRINT = HOLD DOWN D FOR DEAR LIFE

Does anyone want to tell me why Athenian hoplites have the Spartan Lambda engraved on their shields? I know their are probably dozens of historical nitpicks I could rag on this game for, but that was the one that bothered me the most.

I can't figure out how to jump. I tried the space bar like the directions say but I just throw a javelin and my horse trips over the log or rocks and I start all over. I appreciate not having to use all the buttons but making one do so many jobs might not be a great thing either.

Not a good game. There's no real progression, the graphics are all basically the same and blend into each other, and it's not particularly creative. There are so many runners out there that add their own flavor to the genre, but the only flavor this game has is "how many things can we make green and brown?" It's a single star from me.

Aw man, my browser froze at the last jump on level 5. No words to describe how unhappy I am. The only thing I'll do is try again, this won't deter me.

Great game except for one annoying error - during slowdowns (e.g. blocking arrows or riders) the game doesn't register key inputs, so if there is an obstacle nearby and you're speeding you will most likely die not due to fault of your own but because of the game's inability to recognise that you have reacted appropriately. Every aspect is near perfect otherwise :)
