Granule Cell (85683pts) on fouth try!! GREAT GAME, 5/5.
Though, as others have said, a little more integration of upgrades/stages would seriously increase its replay value.

GAME REVIEW: This game is simple and sweet like NES games, and you can learn stuff from it too, it's quick and you need good reflexes, overall, this is an awesome game, could use more power-ups.

WOOOT I got 75k on my second try :P
76,496. Great game I would love to play it more, maybe have "stages" where you have to reach a certain length and then when you finish it, you get an upgrade!

Good concept, but has a lot of room for improvement. An idea to reinforce the concept of what type of nerve your creating is to give each a benefit. Such as the nerves that make up your eyes have a better foresight of the map ahead of them or that the "reaction speed" (this could be seen in having the red nerves move slower or your sphere decreasing slower) for certain types of nerves are faster. All in all it was an alright game, I look forward to see you improving it in the future.

Twitch gaming at it's finest. The graphics are a real draw, as well as the factoids keep it interesting. 5/5. Full review at http://gameolosophy.com/games/on-flash-games-37-axon/

I got a chain and it immediately took me one to the right and i couldn't reach any other proteins. Luckily it was at the beginning so it saved me a lot of time and rage quit.

This has the potential to be a good game, as it is now it is not even close to be. Control wise it's horrible: you risk strain injury by just playing a fair 10 minutes. Regarding the gameplay, it's just not really fun as there is no real challenge besides clicking as fast as possible. nol5000 made very good suggestions, those plus a second game mode (remember: strain injury is *not* good) could make this a solid game. Last but not least, this not educational at all: i'm just as dumb as i was before this game. If i want to browse wikipedia, i won't wait for a flash game to drag me there.

I played it once and was like "eh it's ok. Neat new concept. I spose I'll come play it later." Now I've been playing so long all i see are dots everywhere. Break time! Love it.

Length of Neuron 103,167 micrometers... You've grown a Brachial motor neuron **- they motorize the gills in fish and the face and neck in land vertebrates.
**Note that the link from the game takes to you a page that spells it Branchial (not Brachial) motor neurons... typo? or do I just not know enough about nerves? … I pick the latter.

Wow, I'm learning already! For starters, I never knew cells could use power-ups!
And for the people who keep losing, just remember. It's not how long your cell is, it's what you do with it.

This is an educational game done right! It's fun, music is great and the sound effects are bliss to the ears, gameplay is almost perfect... I guess this would be nicer to play with a drawpad or even on mobile devices (with stylus). 5/5

as a science nerd i love the concept of this game. i agree with some comments...maybe you can include some upgrades or some growth bonuses :)

It would be nice if some proteins would offer a bonus for the entire "growth" so some could increase range, decrease range depletion etc.

One time I got an orange chain that brought me into a dead end. You should make sure that doesn't happen, good game besides that.
