So... Is the last tea order supposed to be impossible? Or is it just me that noticed that the last segment had 50+ prices the entire time with only 1 chest per order at 22 bags of silver per order?

Surprisingly fun game, and a neat little history lesson. I love simple tycoon games like this, where there are only a few main things to keep track of.

playing on latest opera, the game doesnt fit the "windows" size kongregate provides. contect to the right hides behind the chat/game/achievements tabs

I don't know why people are bitching about the hard bagde so much? I got 40 million on first try by just buying almost all the time whenever I get the chance.

It was a fun game;D and for the people talking about not getting the hard badge, you are supposed to stockpile a lot of tea at the beginning when its still pretty cheap and keep around 700 tea at all times and the badge will be easy ;D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You should really update the game so that you make some sort of money for the tea your shipping. It makes no sense that you purchase tea and don't make anything when selling it back to Britain.

2 stars for simply being bad. Highest score ive gotten is 92625600. Was buying tea ta 80+ per batch nonstop but couldnt get it fast enough for the 700 or 800 something i needed. Really bad design.

Pure luck to get hard achievement, the problem is always the SLOW BUYING of goods, thats the bottleneck. The amount of silver you have is endless and it doenst matter if boats get taken as you have 4-5 at all times and get new ones all the time. Really badly designed badge and sucky mechanic ingame.

hard badge is not impossible. without trying hard I got 77 million points at game end. you have to watch the markets closely!

The pace, the pricing, and the quanties make this game extremely unrealistic and the hard badge nearly unobtainable. In concept, I liked the game, but the exponential increase in difficulty isn't scaled well.

The problems here *why it is only mediocre*:
1. No money for tea. That's just bad business.
2. No larger unit purchases. 30 units is a little too small.
3. I guess that means the whole setup on the monetary end. Seriously, if there was no money involved why in the world would anybody have sent the tea all the way to Britain? Why not just keep the opium profits at that point, and say screw the Brits? *Note, did this with the last shipment on the game I got the hard badge, just bought and sold more opium. Tea was at 70+ and opium stayed down near the 20s. The final mission really doesn't affect the score, so who cares about the Brits during it? Bad design IMO.*

The hard badge should be impossible. The absolute highest I've achieved is around 13,500,000. Not even halfway to the designated mark.

Seems no one understands that having the chance to serve Her Majesty the Queen is already the greatest reward in return.

This was a surprisingly fun game to play. I went in just going for the Badge of the Day, thinking it was going to be boring. I really enjoyed it. As with everyone else, though, I couldn't get the hard badge since you can only buy 30 tea at a time. When prices skyrocket, there's no possible way of filling the order like you're expected to. There's a difference between difficult and impossible. Being able to buy 45 or 50 at a time would be great.

ridiculous when it gets to 90 per tea, specially when u have no choice but to get it
why should i give the profits away by buying tea n giving it to the british n not getting anything in return for that is beyond me

Whoa, turns out I was looking at the price of opium and thinking it was my stock of opium left in inventory, then getting angry when my ships wouldn't head out to deliver... oops! Oh well, I guess I won't be getting that badge after all...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
HORRIBLE problem in that you often can't see how much tea you have to deliver. This REALLY screws you up since you can't plan. It's already a difficult, frantic, and somewhat luck based game. This could be exciting, but being stuck without any knowledge just makes it not fun.

Great game, the graphics look really polished, the theme is really novel for a flash title, and it even has an interesting topic to teach!
I don't hand out 5s very often, but this game earns it.

Tips for getting the hard badge:
1. Score is based on the amount of crates sold and shipped, so always aim for transactions where you buy or sell large amounts at a time even if you're doing so at a bit of a loss.
2. Ignore transactions worth only a few crates after the first year or two. Visiting a port too often makes it risky and it's better to avoid that as long as possible.
3. Don't be afraid to go for a good deal in a risky port if you have spare money to afford a fine and/or have more ships than you need. If you don't have five boats you always get a new one whenever your tea arrives in England, so if a boat gets caught between orders just surrender it since you'll just turn around and get a new one anyway. As long as you have two or three boats you're fine.

1500 crates of tea shipped almost 1900 crates of opium. With a wealthy retirement. Still can't get the badge of 80 mil is it even possible. But overall a very fun game. Play it a few times to get the feel of it. Actually read the little dialogue boxes and stock up on tea early for breathing room. Hit opium and tea at low prices, avoid risky ports later in the game you will be depending on have several ships to hit good deals. The game already says this I'm just trying to give and extra hand good luck!!

Score 9,000,000 points and my rank is master smuggler. Check the hard badge and it requires not 8,000,000 but 80,000,000 points. Is that even possible? Do you need enough luck/trickery to get into some kind of math loop, such that, without it, high scores are around 10,000,000 and with it, they're around 80,000,000,000? You know the kind of trick some games have, right? Not hacking. Just, I don't see how it's possible.

The market trends are very harsh, buying the stuff takes an entire week, and that too in a limited number. Prices also fluctuate REALLY fast, in a week, the price once went up by 90. Otherwise, a good game. Quite accurate history, and also an interesting story.

Britain sold opium to China to get huge profits and after the chinese realize that its bad for them, they began to destroy opium. Then came the british to force them to buy opium. WTF?!

If england is paying you in ships then it would be fixed if you could sell these ships (I would have then been able to win by selling 4 of the ships at the end to buy stupid tea)
