Under rating threshold (show) Doesnt anyone else wanna know what the captain must have done to put him in a situation where he owes britain a never ending supply of tea which they dont have to pay him for?

Under rating threshold (show) Two things. 1, you really need to be able to buy more than 30 chests; it feels like you have to constanly push the buy 30 tea button to be able to get enough tea in time by the end which eliminates a large bit of buying tactics. 2, the game needs a restart button. All games should have one.

Under rating threshold (show) I think it needs some ability to sell the ship anytime, not just when the popup window appears. In late game when Im trying to get 300 more tea and I have 2 opium and 200 money, it should be very useful. + if you agree

Under rating threshold (show) STRATEGY: don't give the tea order as soon as you can. wait until britain's mood reaches ~5-10%. when it goes that low, buy the last tea you need. that way you get a loooooooot more time to make money with opium while britain get moody!!! ++ to put this at the top!

Under rating threshold (show) 123 million :D Pretty cool game, nice randomness with the prices from the lowest to the highest ranges :) Only target the risky ports if they give 99/opium and more then 30 crates

Under rating threshold (show) I think the best strategy is trades a lot in the beggining of the game, and just try risk trades when you have a bribe card (and good ones like 60+ crates 99 each). Try to have money and buy ophium when it's 30 or less, and Tea 40 or less.

Under rating threshold (show) So here's the deal. You go over and buy and sell opium. If you get busted doing it, you pay for the bribes (oh, except for that one time that we will help you out, but that offer only lasts for a few years). Also, you can only buy in lots of up to 30 at a time and each deal takes about half a week to do. Now we want over 600 crates, that'll take you over 15 weeks to buy, assuiming that you have the money on hand to buy it all at once and that the price of tea doesn't jump from $8 to $80 in less than a week (HOLY INFLATION BATMAN). Oh, and we are totally never going to pay you for that tea. Basically, you need to get some kind of money from the tea and the price swings need to be less severe (1000% swings every two to three weeks is insane, that's like me going down the street and buying a cup of tea for $3 and a cafe and then next week they try to charge me $30). Other than that, fun game. 3/5, a few tweaks and it could be 4/5 or 5/5

Under rating threshold (show) Finally got the badge. Some tips how i made it in the end: Keep your money low! Don't wait too long for good prices. In the beginning i bought everything up to a price of ~33 and later up to ~43. Begin to stockpile tea early. When you got the second ship begin to take trips that dont mean much profit too (everything over price 60) favoring deals with much carts over high price. If possible ignore trades with less then 5 carts as they will alert the docks and frequently prevent bigger deals. By getting large amounts of opium you can survive the price peaks. When the tea orders are going towards ~500 carts you should have ~20.000 money and 200 carts opium. At that point you should start to buy tea nonstop as long its price is >80 cause they want you to deliver tea almost faster than you can buy it. To gain the badge you need to deliver all tea almost without delay. Hope I could help =)

Under rating threshold (show) I don't believe I have ever used any other option than buying 30 crates at a time... There are certain trigger events in the game that would allow me to buy huge quantities at all-time low prices, and yet I cannot do this because, I assume, the Cantonese dealer has a very short attention span. Otherwise, it is a good game, which presents a nice challenge.

Under rating threshold (show) i think the game is nice. however at one point near the end i couldn't even meet the demands anymore. not because i didn't have the money but rather because i couldn't BUY the tea fast enough. i was just in a constant clicking frenzy. stacking up money isn't wise. the second you can, stack up on either tea or opium. when tea prices are low (below 50) buy like crazy. when opium is low, buy like crazy.

Under rating threshold (show) I won every game easily with 50k+ silver, but only 50M score. Then I realized silver doesn't influence the score at all, only opium/tea does. So I started using up all my silver, buying opium/tea for ridiculous prices, making lots of deals. I finished the game with 4k silver and 85M score. oO

Under rating threshold (show) It seems to me that the final score is purely based on how many opium crates you sell and how many crates of tea you ship. Keeping your silver too long only increases the fine when getting caught since it is based on how much you own. Filling the orders quickly increases the demand for the next shipment and which in turn gives you the chance to achieve higher scores. The best strategy here is to buy and sell as quickly as possible and as many crates as possible, also accept less profitable deals, go for the risky ports as well and try to have enough tea ready when the clipper arrives. Trying to earn a maxium amount of silver will only result in low scores.

Under rating threshold (show) i know you didn't want to make it possible to buy more than 30 crates at the price, but hell that's not how the market works, you got the money you get the crates... and to meet the british requirements you almost need to buy tea all the time, no matter what the price is
