Nice game... one suggestion, maybe players should be able to feed an old beast again to get a diffrent evolution... that way people wouldnt get stuck with beasts they dont like, and could eventually unlock all beasts if they love the game enough.

I do not understand the story whatsoever. Probably because I didn't play the first game, but still. The plot is ... all over the place. And then it ends right as the "final boss" shows up? What?
Also, since the spirit beasts are such a huge part of the game, not knowing what you're upgrading to is very bad.

I don't know what people are saying about having too many gems. Had to go back and farm for them to actually get my beast to level 5. Beat the last boss just as i hit 20 so didn't even mind level cap

You're always saying that the best is Gelyan on Phoenix, I personally played this combination and I prefer Sisily, always Sisily with her powerful attacks, riding any of tier 5 beasts (not Beelzebub), especially Nidhogg or Tiamat. These are very powerful combinations, I'm playing now Lucid dream, Sisily on Tiamat with one Gaias Vest and one Dragons Heart, lvl 18, power 20, endurance 20, agility 14, empathy 20, planning to upgrade agility and I don't use any usables. I think that those combinations are better than Gely/Phoenix combination, because of power of Sisi's Flame Orb and because Nidhogg's and Tiamat's breaths are more powerful than Phoenix's. Try playing Sisily and tell me what you think. PS. I evolved my beast this way, which I think is the best, Salamander -> Cyclops -> Gargoyle -> Zuu -> Tiamat or Gargoyle -> Hydra -> Nidhogg PS2. The Art is really nice and cool, and the different monsters and attacks, very creative. And the music is quite soothing, it fits perfectly with the name. For my vote, 5/5 and Favorited. Glad to play it. :D

I know there are probably all manner of cheap combinations, but this one is mine: Sisily + decent Agility (for quick shooting) + Behemoth (for random status effects) + 2 Deep Blue (for chance of freezing). Basically you stun-lock everything, and if they ever escape, use Behemoth's breath to go invulnerable and hit them with a chunk of damage while you find a place to escape the attack. Then you just go back to your normal attack. Also, I think it probably doesn't matter which character you use, but I didn't try the others, so. Yeah.

Awesome game. The only downside is your hitbox is slightly larger than your character, which just means you gotta get out of the way more or you get hit more often. It still isn't a deterrant from playing and ejoying this game to the fullest though. 5/5

pegasus(tier3) : his attacks are mid range attacks. bad for sisly, good with sword wielder. // Unicorn(tier4) : when evade, he makes an orb which attacks enemies. attacks with beam.(line) // Chimera(tier4) : attack with feathers which covers nearly half the screen. // Zu(tier 4) : damage changes with your health. not good with low health char. // Hydra(tier4) : attacks with poison. makes its rider immune to poison for girls. enhances posion attack for boys // Phoenix(tier5) : breath damage is not good, but when the breath finishes, it gives you an extra life for around 30 seconds // Behemoth(tier5) : while firing breath, the rider become invulnerable(about 10 sec) and great dmg. but the rider can't attack with it. with high empathy, rider becomes invincible. // Tiamat(tier5) : it gives you steal ability if you are hit. breath consumes your 15% life, but dmg is damn good with lots of hp. great with high end char. plz keep this post alive

A good way to defeat the Zodiac Memory in both,Lucid Dream and Nightmare Mode is to: Get the Phoenix,if you are not sure if you survive till the Zodiac Memory,then press 2 when the boss that causes you troubles come,When Zodiac Memory appears,Quickly press 2 to summon the egg,try to survive until the egg is summoned,when he kills you,you will revive with full HP,keep doing this and he will have to fall in the next 3-5 minutes.

I'm using Nidhogg and love him but I can't turn my breath off when I cast it, means that yeah while my mana holds out I can't die but I don't always want it to drain my whole ammount, I tried hitting X again, just doubled the spells effect and drain.

The cheapest way to win is: Get Nidhogg, equip 2 arcane earrings. Activate Nidhogg's Solar Eclipse and fly into all enemy attacks. Due to Arcane Earrings, the attack gets converted into Energy, and Nidhogg's Solar Eclipse turns Energy into Health... Do we see a cycle there?

Skills for LIGHT Alignment:
Simurgh: cause Holy Fire to rain down on enemies who dare to attack, +3 power
Pegasus: whenewer the rider takes damage he/she becomes immune to attacks for 3 seconds, +20 morale + 2 empathy
Unicorn: whenewer the rider dodges an attack, Light Source is created(it lasts 20 sec).It can shoot Shining Beams.+ 2 empathy (if female rider), +2 power (male) , + 3 agility, + 10 dodge rate
Phoenix:special beast's attack will make Spirit Egg (fire or ice-lasts about 30 sec I'm not sure). If rider's health reach zero, Spirit Egg will hatch and rider will have full HP, +3 all atributes
+ so this can stay alive :D

So ... I have to choose my next beast based entirely on it's look and name? I don't get to see what attack and ability it has until AFTER I upgrade to it? Then, of course, I can't change my mind unless I start over? No thank you.

I wish max level cap was 25. Wouldve been perfect for me already if it was 21. Just not as low as 20 please. It is also pretty annoying that gelyen stops at 20, because at 21 he would have had 3 points instead of 2. Please make a level 21 or higher!

If you're struggling to get the hard badges, just take 4x Chrono Matter into the last boss fights and freeze them forever, then just hack away at them till they die, If you farm the mission just before The Ancient Shrine, you should be able to farm the time locks to craft as many Chrono Matters as you need.

pheonix is awesome, it also gives you an extra creature behind you that attacks and revives you when you die, with some energy potions you can stay alive forever.

Ok here are the beasts attributes, stats, and perks.
Phoenix - 5white(+3allstats) rider is resurrected with full hp if spirit egg is present (spirit egg coems from special ability) (this is important) --> spirit egg CAN disappear
Leviathan - 4white 1black(3atk+3agi+10dodge)when rider dodges attack, enemies freeze for a brief moment
Behemoth - 3white 2black(+6 atk)rider's attacks can freeze/poison/explode
Tiamat - 3black 1white(+6 end)when rider gets hit, rider's attacks have a chance to drain hp
Niddhogg - 4black 1white(+3emp+20%energy)energy constantly drained, but health constantly regens. when damage is taken, energy is regained
Beelzebub - 5black(+6 agi+10dodge)whenever rider dodge/gets hit, beast has chance to damage and freeze enemy for 3 secs

this boss was SO easy. top your avoidance and get the mirage boots , bring apples and spam 3 , then use the time stop and finish him. took all of 30 seconds to beat on infinite space....no idea what people are complaining about.

this game is awesome, but it's lacking one thing that I think would make it complete. The characters should be able to learn new attacks, because there is almost no customization in that area. Just an idea. :)

Evidently, the level cap is still 20, which is puny. You will probably reach it long before you are finished, especially on the Nightmare setting. I am restarting because the power stat appears to be comparatively useless, and it really is unfortunate that one must learn these things by trial and error with no way of redistributing anything if you find that you've made some bad choices. Not really a great game as shooters go, but it's fun enough to stick with if you can see past its major flaws.

I really hate level caps...Though the game is quite fun. However, just the same I'll only give it a 4/5 because of the cap. Realistically speaking, although characters may end up overpowered, it should be the players choice to allow that to happen. From the standpoint of the game developer, you simply have to make it take a much greater deal of experience to reach those levels that you'd prefer players not be able to reach. Then they can make the choice as to whether or not it's worth their time.

So you're fighting blue/gray critters on a blue/gray background. Even zoomed in this game is ridiculously painful on the eyes as pretty much everything is camouflaged except for some red lazer lines that sometimes come at you. Totally ridiculous.

Nice game man! Every time i click on this game i end up noticing that its like 3am after like 7hours of this game! It's a good thing too :D. Found out some interesting ways to not die (ever) in this game after the first 15 hours... pretty usefull :). My main guy was geylan with nidhogg with dragon heart and mirror boots....9k damage with eclipse, nearly untouchable with maxed out movability, 40% increased defense with perk, and every time i'm hit i get energy :DDDD!!!!! Anyway just fiddle around and you'll get better than what i found.... thanks fairypoet!

Oh really!? A game with RPG elements that aren't fully explained to you? Get some courage. The equipment effects are all readable, so upgrading stats and changing accessories to better suit this stage of beast evolution? Cool. Move mah beastie up & down the left of the screen and moving in the path of bullets so I can dodge & counter for extra fire power!!

While it has its imperfections, I believe that this game is well worth playing. It isn't for everyone, it's an acquired taste, but it has enough going for it to keep fans of the series or fans of the side scrolling genre busy and even happy. Eventually the game can become nearly impossible to beat if you don't allocate points in a favorable way, and my mistakes led me to being unable to finish it the first time around, but I still enjoyed the experience. I've not encountered any problems that haven't been addressed by several other members' commentary other than perhaps that a little more variety in background music would be nice, but the music that's there is nice enough for me to over look that. I'm giving Wings of Genesis a 4 out of a possible 5 stars. Hours slip by like they were seconds when playing it, so that must mean I'm enjoying it.
