Oh really!? A game with RPG elements that aren't fully explained to you? Get some courage. The equipment effects are all readable, so upgrading stats and changing accessories to better suit this stage of beast evolution? Cool. Move mah beastie up & down the left of the screen and moving in the path of bullets so I can dodge & counter for extra fire power!!

While it has its imperfections, I believe that this game is well worth playing. It isn't for everyone, it's an acquired taste, but it has enough going for it to keep fans of the series or fans of the side scrolling genre busy and even happy. Eventually the game can become nearly impossible to beat if you don't allocate points in a favorable way, and my mistakes led me to being unable to finish it the first time around, but I still enjoyed the experience. I've not encountered any problems that haven't been addressed by several other members' commentary other than perhaps that a little more variety in background music would be nice, but the music that's there is nice enough for me to over look that. I'm giving Wings of Genesis a 4 out of a possible 5 stars. Hours slip by like they were seconds when playing it, so that must mean I'm enjoying it.

First tip; if you haven't already worked it out, the BEST items to stack onto your character right away are the Veteran Badges. For those out there who like to use Gelyan; Raise your beast into a Phoenix, upgrading only Gelyan's endurance and empathy with every level up, favoring either until they're maxed out, then grab two Gaia Vests. Okay, so this means Gelyan is just there to essentially poison things whilst phoenix does high spread of damage, meaning you don't have to aim much and since you're equipped with TWO gaia vests, the chance to cast grand cosmos is increased, also, since you've maxed endurance, getting hit should not be a great drama, especially if you let it happen consecutively after Gelyan's battle harness comes into effect, Phoenix's spirit eggs will keep you alive AND slay whatever's there simultaneously. May not be the highest damaging build, but its great to hack away at nightmare difficulty with.
Credit to Todie 85 for this.

Game is fun. The art looks good but is the biggest problem. There is a lot of color in the foreground and background, and with the enemies and projectiles. Sometimes it's hard to see everything and notice enemy shots. You should definitely not have foreground objects obstructing my view, ever.

Good game, but i wish i could remap the number buttons. Reaching up to the 2 key really sucks for laptop controls if you're using a touchpad. Perhaps allow alternate 1-6 buttons on the z-n keys?

Tip for the final boss of infinity space, use a character with high dodge, and boost it as high as you can, you can't avoid being reduced to 1 health, it's then a matter of luck if you can dodge the rainbow attack while on1, moving around may help a bit. Healing is pointless, and while I may have been unlucky with timing, it appears you can still be killed while using a life stream, so I wouldn't bother with those either. 3xchronos is the way forward, with one golden apple, they're collectable from an earlier level boss, not sure which one.
if you still have trouble, complete the game, without doing infinity space, and transfer your character. You start the next game with extra attribute points because you transfered, and all your items might make it easier to do inifinity next time.

Can we have weapons for buying in the shop for character and spirit beast ? It can be a funnier and easier game , its being boring when we got S class items and cant spend our money xD. + so developers can see. GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN!!!

Sadly, this isn't a very well built game. It's got the essentials of a great game, but none of the surplus elements that make a game amazing. The ability to backtrack your character (Skill points and evolutions) should be much more integrated. Going backwards an evolution should allow you to move forward in a different direction of evolution, like towards Behemoth instead of Nidhogg. Selling should be an aspect in the shop, and items should have a few moments of cooldown to stop accidental use. I've done this too many times, and each takes stones from me that you don't recieve when you die. All together, this has potential, but needs more work. Very good job so far.

I personally would like to see the stats for the Beasts before I decide which I'd like. All I have now is their general appearance, which doesn't help much. I would also like it if you could more clearly define the fact that there is a level cap. I personally don't like to look at the comments before I play the game, so I was caught unaware when I could no longer level up. Over all, I thought it was a decent game. 3/5 stars.

power overwhelming.. that was the name of the invincibility cheat in starcraft. am i the only one that realized that?

Now now, new game plus with more atribute points and keeping items? I wish i didn't come just for the badge, thanks for the awesome game.

I find myself liking Neraine on Beelzebub. I get just enough agility to cap dodge rate (85) and dump rest into power. If I have leftover points, endurance is fine. With 2 zodiac masters, Nightmare is ridiculously easy, including infinity space. I did not even bother grinding to level 20.

game seems sort of broken, I cant seem to beat 'infinity space', the last boss always instantly kills me, even when im in the middle of doing my dragon attack that makes me impervious to all damage...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just a hint-for Neraine,leviathon is the best.
REASON:Due to her already high dodge rate, leviathon can consecutively freeze all enemies.

Dude, I didn't realize till I already completed normal mode and was part through Nightmare that there are higher grade healing items. You can also equip 2 of the same equipment. But your dodge rate will not go above 85. Oh, and increased stats from items count towards your limit. So remove the equipment first If you want higher then max stats.

Considering that Gen can heal himself by an absurd amount and change my beast to a tier 1 many times over and over again, I don't quite see how this game is possible. Brute force damage gets me nowhere, and the only status effect I can inflict is poison. Not to mention Zodiac's uncanny ability to set my health to one, and then flood the screen with damage. Great game, very good art, but the final boss mechanics are disappointing. 3/5

Nice game... usually just click X on sidescrollers but this was awesome XD
By lv14 i had 14 , 10 , 15 , and 15 for my stats on sicily with nidhogg and some A lv equipment.... Wiped out most monsters quick... fun game =D

waterplant315- on the beast page there is an evolution guide that tells you how to get each creature. If you want a pheonix, you have to start with a salamander and only give it crimson stones

Actually, the Zodiac Memory can be defeated without golden apples. I used Gelyan and the Behemoth beast (Ladon descendent) with 3 chrono matters. The key is to keep moving. It minimizes the chance that he will hit you with his strongest attacks. Also, never try fighting ZM on a beast that has a chance of depleating your health. One of ZM's favorite attacks is to knock your health down to 1hp and temporarily disable your health regeneration, and that's the attack that is the hardest to avoid.

Am i the only one who thinks Simurgh(white-white)'s special "Grand Jury" does no damage? I always have to use Salamander until i unlock Pegasus. Someone do tell me if it doesnt damage, either im missing with it all the time, or it doesnt even hit at all o.o

A help who having trouble to defeat Zodiac Memory :
Sisily
Niddhogg
Arcane Earrings x2
All upgrade pts to Power, then all the rest goes Agility.
TO DEFEAT ZODIAC MEMORY USE KRAKEN! (dark-dark-dark-dark-white).
Just keep pressing 2 to spam freezing skill on bosses and you never get hit. o/

Tried it again... wasn't intentional... and the frozen spirit egg thing was freezing enemies like there was no tomorrow...

A good way to beat infinity space is to use the phoenix mount (all white stones) and use its special ability to get revived every time you die, I got him down to about 10% health on my first try, haven't try again yet though.

Very good, game but I have a few minor complaints. First off, it needs the ability to undo feeding of a monster to it's original state with your gems. Otherwise you have to print out the chart and put your stones in that way. While for more acomplished gamers that's easy, for someone playing casual I just want to see all the forms and guessing when I'm giong to need to upgrade is annoying.

This is a wonderful effort. I enjoyed the original Ge.Ne.Sis a whole lot, and this one, despite being a huge departure in gameplay, is just as good - it keeps the interesting setting and beautiful art, but takes it in a very different direction with a lot of success. Some parts of the game (like beast evolution, specifically) are a little obtuse, but once they click it's a joy to play.

The game looked good from the title. It might have the concept of other games like for example raising a "beast" or loooking for different seals or treasures, but, it has a touch that not many games give. This games deserves a big 5. Very good job, Fairypoet. 5/5

sisily with emphaty agility build and behemot combined with two dragon hearts and shit load of manapots saved the day. go invul, stay invul, obliterate just everything with ease
