Customer 1: Wow! This is a great sun... Wait a minute! I wanted my oreo on the right side not the left! Blughh
Customer 2: Wow! This is a great sun... Wait a minute! Did you spill sprinkles while making this? Blughh
Customer 3: Wow! This is a great sun... Wait a minute! Is my whipped cream lopsided? Blughh
Me: ...fml -.-

I like that in this game the people don't just look at their food before rating it-- they taste it first. :) Hoping for badges soon!

Papa Louie has somehow managed to cultivate a customer base (and employees) so loyal that scads of the folks from other chains will go on tropical cruises just to buy his ice cream. It must be really, really good-tasting.

I'm not sure what's the most irritating thing about this game. Maybe it's the time it takes to mix something (with an upgrade that barely helps because it overheats after one second.) Maybe it's the aggravatingly slow order/tip sections that constantly make you miss your alarms (and boy do these customers feel when their sunday's spent one second too long in the mixer!) Maybe it's the seemingly arbitrary grading system, where wait times aren't real and toppings don't matter. Or maybe it's the fact flipline studios won't stop churning out that kind of crap despite actually being able to make good games, and the fact kong keeps making all variations of the shitty papa formula BOTD. Who knows.

My entire wall is a collage of posters and there's so much junk on the floor, i'm surprised anyone can even get to the counter.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
you have to get the topping in order from left to right, if you do it any other way you will get less point at the top station, yeah, just like any other papa's games
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I love how inconsiderate everyone is in that they force the cashier to sit through their extended review sessions instead of letting them work on other orders

Man, the same customers keep showing up at all of Papa's chains and show up just about everyday; the next game will likely be "Papa's Diabetes Cliniceria."
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Just don't try at all, blend it and take it out right away, and just put cherries on it. You will still get the badge.

I have to play this game to earn the medium badge and complete the Yo Dawg Quest, but I refuse. I already have a day job, rid me of clients, damn them all.

Am I feeding some superhumans or something? They dont get cold, diabetes, sickness, and comes to the store every single day.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@ terrorblade: "the employee really should get faster at writing orders the more days go by. especially if the customer is a regular -.-" They do exactly what you said. The more stars a customer has, the faster they order and you write it.

The people in these games don't have ears, there's even a bald guy with none anywhere on his head. So HOW does Chuck wear an earring?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
As someone who works in an ice cream store in real life, this game is somewhat of a recurring nightmare to me. No offense to the creator is meant; it's just I hate my job. :p

oh man, this sundae is DELICIOUS!! hey wait a minute, what's that? you put the banana on the RIGHT before the one on the left? HELL NO! now you just ruined it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I decided to do a small experiment. I made the perfect sundae (whip cream evenly distributed, chocolate drizzled perfectly, no sprinkles lost. ) Then I took strawberry syrup(recipe didn't call for it) and poured it all on the counter, not a speck on the ice-cream. Then when I gave to to the customer I got 80% I was like 'What's wrong with it?' and he said 'You poured strawberry syrup near it!'

You get tricked by the CEO of the Papa's(TM) Food Company into working for below minimum wage. All while said CEO goes on vacation without giving you any clues as to how to do the job, and before the place you were tricked into working at opens for business.
Don't forget though: You aren't working just ONE job, you are working FOUR... that's right, FOUR DIFFERENT JOBS!!! Yet you get paid below the minimum wage of ONE job. PAPA LOUIE SHOULD BE SENTENCED TO PRISON FOR LIFE FOR FRAUD, TAX EVASION, THEFT, MONEY LAUNDERING, UNPAID LABOR, SLAVERY, AND A LOT LOT MORE!!!!!!!

Oh, thank you for upgrades which actually have a tangible benefit, instead of an incidental or invisible one! My biggest complaint aside from the repetition of theme present in the series (each one boiling down to very similar mechanics) is that the orders are taking increasingly long, which presents an increasingly painful obstacle as the series goes on. When you need to take something off the mixer, you might not WANT to take an order, knowing that the customer is going to prattle on for a good 15 seconds as he specifies EXACTLY what he wants. I know the theme is made-to-order food, but seriously? "I want a medium strawberry and chocolate shake, mixed to medium consistency, topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, a cookie, a cookie, and a cookie." I challenge you to walk into an ice cream parlor and order like this. :p

Robby can you explain why did you give me 97 points man? Is it something personal?

*spends 30 seconds very carefully arranging creameo's and cherries in perfect position.
Customer: ...Hm. Almost perfect, but not quite.
WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME

Wait... if he runs this place, then he could just promote himself to top rank immediately... Better yet he does all the jobs and so is all of the ranks at once...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I wonder how many people are sitting around at work in an office playing the Papa's games, pretending to be working a menial job in a restaurant.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Papa is actually a total git. He runs all these cons to get some poor sap to run an entire fast food dive by themselves, and then makes them start at the lowest pay grade as well.
Total git.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The trick to this game, is don't rush the toppings.... Make customers wait and give them a perfectly made thing that a shitly made thing quickly... They get happier from their sundae than waiting.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Terastas: "WHY DO YOU KEEP MAKING THESE?!!!" Look at how many people ENJOY it. Are you saying because you, one person doesn't like it, they shouldn't make anymore? And if you didn't like the first one, why play the others? Hell, you could even try the second to see if it was "better" in your opinion, but if you didn't like that, WHY PLAY THE THIRD AND FOURTH GAMES AS WELL?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Chatturgha: The time it takes to order is intentional, and Star Customers actually order and judge sundaes faster then normal. I usually just try to work around it.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
12 days to badge for Yo Dawg. Early badges for making sundaes well (hit it in the green, don't spill, and get 100% services). Buy cheap posters early and then furniture (badge each). Buy ice cream hat (remember to equip from menu during the day), get blue ribbon from jojo (priority order). Everything else unlocks easily.

Wish I knew how much each item improved waiting score. Or does the 5$ poster improve it the same amount as the $500 video game?
