Suggestions: Make P enable the pause and a mute button. Make the first player level slightly easier, so that players can discover that there are power ups. In first place this game looks rather boring, but with these powerups that are granted for levelups it becomes really entertaining.

I would like some sort pf progression meter. I've never been past region two (I find this game to be challenging) so having a progress meter help my set goals and track my improvement which is especially useful in a repetitive game like this.

Nice start, but repetitive. Got to player level five, just to see what the next level would unlock, but those Tris level objectives are way too grindy, survival feels more based on luck (drop locations) than skill (lack of tricks/or technique to sqeeze that little extra bit of performance out of your glider) and the unlocks... meh.

Starts so harmless and bald, but only some perseverence takes you into exciting landscapes. Maybe after 10 rounds one's perception simply changes. Great job! Luv ur stuff! 5/5

Recommendation - is it possible to pause or restart the game using the keyboard (and I just missed that instruction somewhere)? I'm really not too keen on having to take my right hand off of the arrow keys to reach down and pause if I feel a sneeze (or a professor, lol) coming.

I'm liking the look of the game so far. The graphics, pacing, and gameplay are all excellent, and work very well together. The level up system is very interesting, but it would be nice if the objectives were ticked off once you did them, rather then coming in certain sets; it's rather frustrating being held back by one objective when you know you've probably passed a few others in the meantime, particularly when you then unlock something useful. Will be faving this anyway, and keeping an eye out for the full version.

awesome game. maybe add a hardcore version that goes faster, and the sun doesn't set also, make it progressively go faster :)

Great game but it could have a little more to it.
1. More game modes. Maybe an endless run or a challenge mode of some sort.
2. More powerups. Most generic ones come to mind for me right now like having good ones like slow-mo for a few seconds or more points and bad ones like speed up (because it's not fast enough), more obstacles, etc.
3. Leaderboards. Enough said
4. Multiplayer. I don't know how difficult it is to implement but it would be interesting to play against other players not only by yourself. In turn it would be pretty cool to have different multiplayer modes too like having a track instead of random obstacles, etc.
5. Different color scheme or better yet, ability to change the colors. As someone mentioned earlier sometimes it can be difficult to see.
6. More UI options. Mute, quality, all that normal stuff that exists in other games.
I'll be looking forward to the updates of this game and I may or may not buy it once a full version is out. We'll see :)

Why do people ask why its not the full game? For one, it is still being made. The game is not even done. Two, this is just the demo, so its not the full game. Three, you can pre-order the game for $5 at their website.

Multiplayer race / survival modes would be nice.
Leaderboards would make things more interesting, to see the best players around and motive to surpass them!

I love the game, but I think a try counter while flying would be very helpful to see how close you are to completing an objective.
There actually is a progress indicator in the lower-left, if you pause the game (esc button)
We'll work on making this more obvious in a future update, thanks!

Excellent Game, easy to learn difficult to master. If you play for too long then come away the rest of the world seems slow

Quite possibly one of the best games I've played here. The simplicity is extraordinary, and makes for a great experience.

epic game i just love the graphics and the sound of it. rated it 5/5 but i dont like the fact that there are other space ships. i would love to have the "isolated" feeling without the other ships

First 20 minutes assessment of this game: The pace is Insane, for good or Ill, the speed is the most noticeable thing. Adapting to it is the biggest obstacle to advancement. At the speed Tri's are nearly impossible to spot from a distance unless of course you want to look for them rather then the obstacles in your path. I also found that there was a lot of luck involved. I will admit I never made it to level 3, and the greatest hindrance to advancement was the total reliance on powerups to accomplish the most distance and thus points. So my thoughts: Play with the color schemes of Tri's to make them more visible with just a glance from a distance, also consider taking the powerups and making them player controlled with spacebar or something else etc. That would reduce on luck factor, and increase actual player skill.

Awesome game. Love the light and shadow, and the sounds too. The first time crossing the 'sea' into the next world as the sun fully set was actually really eerie (not knowing quite what was going on). Any chance of a Tris counter though? It would be great to know how far off the objective you are - whether you have time to play it safe or not.
Glad you're liking it! f.y.i, if you pause the game (escape) the objectives will show you how far along you are towards the goal.
Also, from the main menu or the death screen, you can hit the "more stats" button to see your total tri count.

I think you've underestimated how long it takes to collect 100 tri's.
I think my favorite part is how it dilates when you go faster or slower, based on what you've hit.
Sorry that you think this is lame. Our goal is to provide a long-lasting, fun experience here on Kongregate without stringing people along with in-app purchases. At the same time, we are a business, and our goal is to be able to support ourselves with the games we make, so we will offer a full standalone version of the game at some point, for a fair price. Thanks for playing!

i would also like to add, that very shortly after posting my previous message, i received a message from one of the developers.
I appreciate the effort put toward the players.
my rating has been increased by 1 star for this reason ^_^

This game has a lot of potential, but as it is now is 2/5
SUGGESTIONS:
1: Adding some kind of upgrade system ( or even just different models of vehicle to earn from doing achievements or something.) will increase motivation to move forward for players.
2: make the things we collect into a type of currency, or experience, then make it usable for things ( like the upgrade system or new vehicle models from #1 )
3: Different game modes or challenge modes, or multiplayer mode.
there are many other things that could improve this game but this is getting very long, so these are the top 3 for me.
Thank you for reading.

The game actually has an upgrade system already: check out the "objectives" in the lower-lefthand side of the main menu. We'll do a better job of making this clear in a future update!
We're also planning to add multiplayer and new game modes. Keep checking back for updates!

Unfortunately, it sounds like you have a shader-model 2.0 or older video card, and Race The Sun has some issues with this older hardware. We'll look into making this better in the future!

Beautiful; it has a real classic feel, like a frenetic arcade version of a Dave Braben game. My only tiny criticism is that it would benefit from the ability to adjust the music/fx volumes. Such a tiny criticism, though, that this still merits 5/5.

Very cool fast game. I wonder if upgrades would make it interesting...maybe a cannon to shoot obstacles or a bonus to temporarily climb to clear the obstacles. Not sure. Definitely a challenging game.

in this game: middle hit wall = death,no more power = death. wing hit = slow down = sun goes down quicker.your ship works to sunlight. Great.
