Nice game. I didn't get to far though lol. I think you should just lose points and/or exp when you die instead of starting completely over. Background kinda of clashes with the MC and enemies. Sound is good and music is catchy. Maybe add save points and a shop that you can buy health potions or something instead of wasting a level on a HP recharge. It has a lot of potential to be good if not great 3/5

there needs to be a way to get health back. especially with how hard it is to dodge the first boss' attack. going in with anything less than 3 health is death.

1) I'm fairly sure the sprites come from either Mushroom Farm or Mushroom Farm Revolution. Do you have permission from that game's creator(s) to use them?
2) The realistic backgrounds clash with the cartoonish sprites (though that does make the sprites stand out); more effort should be made in unifying the art direction.
3) The physics are not conducive to precision platforming. Having momentum to start running, and some skidding after the character stops, is a one way trip to death.
4) There should be some sort of save/check point system to ease the pain of death.
