This guy must have one hellovan insurance company. He flies into an asteroid field, collects $50, dies, and they resurrect him and buy him a new ship at no cost to him.

It looks like the game has no end. To get a highscore just be patient and continue playing.
The ranking should be based on how many days it took to a player to buy the fancy ship, and not how many minerals he/she colected after geting that ship.

Ok, the controls aren't nearly as bad after maxing out handling, which doesn't take very long. However, I'd still like to use cursor keys. Other than that, decent short game.

speed upgrade would have of been nice. but the handling upgrade sort of did upgrade the speed so it was okay but anyways 5/5

2/5 due to controls (you move slowly when you're close to the mouse). Would change the rating once the controls are fixed. Hope that happens while this is still on the front page, before it gets lost in the sea of 3-star-and-below games.

Not a bad game at all, but why mouse control? Wouldn't arrow keys be better for a game like this? When you need to dodge stuff or grab a far away mineral (especially near the edge of the screen), it would be nice to be able to move as fast as the upgrade level will allow without having to worry about losing control when the cursor slips outside the box.

Part of the reason I make that recommendation is because on Google chrome, when the mouse leaves the frame of the flash game, Google tells the flash game "the mouse has suddenly moved to the upper-left corner of the frame". In the case of this game, if I need the ship to move downwards faster, the gameplay is encouraging me to move the mouse down further, but if I move the mouse down too far, then it leaves the frame and the ship starts moving towards the upper-left corner of the frame, instead, because that's where the game thinks the mouse is. This is behavior that the player didn't intend.

Good game, but I would recommend the following change: Right now, ship speed is proportional to the distance between the ship and the mouse. Don't do this, it's making ship control very sluggish. Instead, have the ship move towards the mouse at a fixed, constant speed that depends upon upgrade level only. You can slow the ship once it's within 10 pixels, so that the ship isn't jittery once on top of the mouse. But, don't make the ship slow down before getting on top of the mouse.

I was expecting this game to suck, to be honest. I was expecting to be bored by the second day... but I loved it! I bought all the upgrades and beat it and I'm continuing to play because somehow it's just really fun and addicting. 5/5

It was actually kind of fun. I liked it. I would put a hard limit of say 30 phases, though. If you can't beat this game in 30 days, you're not trying hard enough.
