Under rating threshold (show) It is confusing that for the number on minefields sometimes the minefield itself counts and sometimes it doesn't count...

Under rating threshold (show) I usually feel that a puzzle game shouldn't be rushed. People should be allowed to take as much time as they want in solving the puzzles. This is an exception however. Trying to play minesweeper from the point of view of someone actually in the minefield while simultaneously being chased by zombies and trying to trick them into detonating the mines themselves adds a whole new dimension to the classic game of minesweeper. 5/5. My only suggestion is a mini map so I can what I've cleared so far and haven't cleared.

Under rating threshold (show) This game seems to be running into an issue that often comes up in games; the difference between something being difficult and frustrating. Something that's difficult makes you want to keep trying until you beat it, and that, even when you lose, is still somewhat enjoyable and you can say "Well, I'll do _ differently next time"...frustrating is when you play something, and when you lose you just want to say "screw this" and quit. That would be what this is. Things like if I start and a wolf spawns I may as well restart, or when I see a blown up mine that says '1', and all the other mines like it counted themselves, but this one didn't for some reason and I got blown up, or when enemies are avoiding mines in the middle of the field that I haven't even gotten to yet and are invisible to me and yet they avoid with ease. Those things aren't difficult. They're frustrating.

Under rating threshold (show) Anyone still trying to get the 500 point badge, I had the best luck on the Speed Run side, last level, "Run Like Heck". Mine density is real low, ammo drops are abundant, but there are a lot of mobs to avoid. By the time I hit the end I had 600 some points.

Under rating threshold (show) Tip: you can re-use lures. If you're cornered and you have a lure, place it on a flag somewhere to lead the zombies away, then right click on it again to take it back, once you have a gap to escape.

Under rating threshold (show) Really need to fix wolf spawn. If one raises blocking your only clean square just as another is following you and other two recently died, that's way too many. Wolves shouldn't know how to avoid mines anyway.

Under rating threshold (show) I agree ... although there are a little less zombies on puzzle mode, they should probably be removed. Either that or you should put them in the easier speed play ones. Given some parts of puzzle mode have me just running around, trying to get the zombies away. Which I do in speed play. I'd suggest making it easier to kill zombies in puzzle mode (worse AI that makes them run into mines that you lure them into), adding enough pickups to deal with every zombie, or removing them altogether. Right now, there doesn't seem to be much of a different between the two modes. If the zombies aren't changed from how they are currently, the modes might as well be merged ...

Under rating threshold (show) It was fun, but after the first two puzzle levels, it was almost impossible to do anything, you get trapped with bears and bunnies with no way to do anything. I won't lie, it's a fun game, but it's just frustrating, just decrease the amount of zombie respawns on puzzles, keep that for the speed.

Under rating threshold (show) not nearly enough powerups to deal with the zombies. i find the puzzles more than enough of a challenge without running in circles from wolves while i figure them out. it would be nice if the enemies didn't know exactly where the mines you figure out were so i could at least lure them into it.

Under rating threshold (show) ANNYOING OVERALL 1)Zombies that pop right in your face, in the square you are heading to 2)Numbers hidden behind the scenery 3)Attack of the zombies - come on, why do they still attack you when you walk past them and change a square ? It should be square-aimed attack, not slippery one. 4) The number beneath an exploded mine should work just as the others - reveal surrounding mines, ignoring the blown one. 5)Transparent flags on blown mines - seriously, why make them even transparent ? it is much harder to see and annoying to take an overall look of the minefield with wolves chasing you... 6)No points for destroying zombies and combos... seriously, why make hoards of them in puzzle mode then? I won't list wolves and narrow space here, because wolves are fair, having the lowest spawn rate, they are still not impossible to outrun and blow up, and narrow space... at least it has fewer mines...

Under rating threshold (show) I think puzzle mode should be more about the minesweeper than the waves of monsters (especially on the last level near the end). But the concept and execution otherwise of the game is cool, so 4/5.

Under rating threshold (show) Good game :) Thouh wolves can prevent you from playing at all in last level (almost unkillable, never gives you a second of rest). Controls not precise enough, when things go bad and you need to be quick you end up going on a square you didnt want to go to... and just die after 10 minutes of sweeping mines... frustrating. Still a great 4/5.

Under rating threshold (show) Like many others, I think puzzle mode could do with fewer zombies. Even when you are able to lure a zombie into a mine, another one just pops up in its place. Puzzle mode is more like survival mode.

Under rating threshold (show) So I played the game some hundred times, and the bug that I found is that when a zombie detonates a mine, the number that appears on that square sometimes includes the detonated mine, sometimes not. There was a 1 in the detonated square, and I tumbled on a mine diagonal from that. Another time with the number being 3 or 4 it counted the detonated mine. And it would be really helpful for my all-clear run in puzzle mode, if the detonated mines's flags were not so well hidden with they being a faded red compared to my flags. Half the time I don't notice them and *boom*, blowing myself to smitherins.

Under rating threshold (show) a little hint to cope the mass of zombies: if u got the brain, you can put it on a mine to lure the zombies to it. just before they step on the mine, right-click the brain again so you get it back to your "inventory". with the right timing, the zombies explode and the brain is unused :) rate this hint if u like it

Under rating threshold (show) First off, let me just say this game is incredible. I've liked minesweeper since I was a kid, and I've always loved zombies. Putting them together is one the best ideas anyone's had. The 'only' problem I have with this game is when a zombie steps on a mine that has already been flagged. There seems to be inconsistency when it comes to whether or not the number on that exploded square 'counts' that square itself in the number or not. I've been pretty deep into a hefty field of mines, only to be screwed over by not knowing whether or not the number in the exploded mine counts itself or not. Please, explain in the instructions if it counts or not, because I've seen instances where it has and hasn't. It's a small blemish on an amazing game, and it's bugged me since I started playing.

Under rating threshold (show) Puzzle mode is way too hard. You should at least be able to bait the zombies into the mines better, but they dodge them all when they are chasing you. And then, if you do blow one up, another just pops up.

Under rating threshold (show) Puzzle mode: 1. Zombies only respawn when one is killed (type is random), so don't kill unless you have to. You'll end up with mainly snails, mushrooms, and blind wolves/bears which you can usually dodge. (They might run into a mine on their own though.) -- 2. If you want to kill a zombie, try dodging till it runs into a mine. It conserves ammo and possibly opens up escape routes for later dodging. -- 3. Take your time, reveal the whole field, mark all the mines. That's what gives the main points in puzzle mode, and it allows you to safely backtrack and dodge when some chasing wolf/bear appears. -- 4. The first two areas are too small for the hard badge. The third area might work but only if you can kill 30-40 zombies for the remaining points (difficult because very narrow and few pick-ups). The fourth area is huge (over 1000 points for whole reveal) and also wide (makes dodging feasible), it only takes a little practice to get the badge there.

Under rating threshold (show) Gripes: would prefer the option of Keyboard arrow controls. The numbers should change when a mine explodes. Monsters should stop spawning after a set amount from a single hole, or there should be an item that stops a hole from spawning more (i.e. the gravestone eater from PvZ)

Under rating threshold (show) Tips for getting this game's badges. The easy badge is easy. Any level except for possibly the first level in each column will have at least 3 bullets in the stage, which will give you the 3 kills. The medium badge is even easier. Just use the trick SkyLe posted, and plant 20 flags anywhere. For the hard badge, you don't need to complete the level. As soon as you get 500 points, you'll be awarded it in the middle of a level. To REACH 500 points, make sure to explore everywhere. Even the dark squares you can't step on, if you get near to them so they would normally be revealed if you could step on them then they will give you points. You also get points for placing flags, and killing enemies, except for the mushroom enemies. Note that the first 2 levels in each column are definitely too short to get 500 points, and you'll only get 500 points in the 3rd levels if you are lucky. The 4th levels will easily give you 500 points though, as long as you don't die.
