@PatsFan37, actually blasters are pretty good for pve and pvp, great starter weapon. Though they become almost useless except when you need them for long range once you get gatling guns.

I think another posted commentd about a game called subspace that was very similar, but that game was more arena style with people selectign a base ship and weapons were static. Still it was a load of fun and one fo the best aspects of the game was the 30 minute free for all or capture the flag coop style games. For that to work everyone would have to be able to start a new ship with maybe some minimal leveling allowed during the game. Or having powerups that coould change out a weapon and a system where they could be upgraded.
If wasa fragfest, but at the end you'd get to see a list of high scores and that's what it was all about...fun and bragging rights.

This is pretty impressive piece of work and could easily be so much more, but make sure you stay focused on what you want it to be. I've leveled a bit and figured I'd go wit hthe blasters because I thought they range/damage would be great, but I was wrong.
Would it be possible to work in 1 free respec as you have to choose what weaposn you want to maximize before you really have any concept about what is best. Or, I wouldn't mind a way to completely reset myself back to the beginning with the knowledge gained.

I love this game, but I hate that you can get killed by a player if they've enabled pvp. You really need to fix it so that both parties need to have pvp enabled.

The missions need to be level oriented. I'm L18 and keep getting missions doing menial stuff. The current one I have is worth 16 steel and 76exp. Pointless but I have to wait 15 minutes for another or waste my time to go do it.

Bug: Failing of missions is not shown on crew-overview...countdown remains and failing is first recognized at pickup!

I like the game but not the players. Far too many assholes who spawn kill low level players. needs far more measures in place to prevent it. I dont want to PVP wth people. why should they be allowed to ruin my game?

It would be nice to see actual guns be items just like artifacts or have guns we already have turned into scrap. It just sucks finding a weapon in a crate you already have.

This game is awesome! It's already addicting, not tedious at all or grindy and for being new there's still plenty of things to do before I could ever get bored of it. Can't wait to see more development and I'll gladly support the game once I see more content :D

well there is another explanation for the lag. Maybe the server gets overrun by players sometimes and that makes it lag ?

I have noticed that people who have lag its probably their computers. I have an awesome computer and i dont have any lag, i have a nice and smooth gameplay.

Yes, the lag and especially the crappy and buggy mouse control during lag ruins the fun! Enemys hop around or are fast dragged over one screen or even further away. Aiming gets impossible and even skillfree noobs become a thread for higher leveled user, if they are cought by lag. Levels with deadly and fast enemys are not accessible, because trails are not, where the screen shows them and hald killed enemys are dragged fast to their home! Developer: Fix at least the mouse control to reduce the negative effects of lag!

Astroflux Devs: If you havent there was another pvp 2d space shooter called subspace Didnt have a leveling system and a very entertaining pvp aspect (I dont know if it will hold up to todays gaming standards but I loved it then) I recommend taking a look at that one for some ideas as well.
You probably have keylock issues. Happens with certain keyboards. Use AWD to move you ship instead. There is also an option to use mouse in settings (H) menu.

its a great, iv spent tons of time playing it. However there is this problem that I had recently encounter.....all my artifacts ARE GONE! but thats not all, when I get a new artifacts and then close the browser or refresh it, the artifact that I recently gathered is gone.... and still now, I cannot permanently store a single artifact..please help and fix it :/
They are not gone, you simply have to many for our interface to handle :) We are working on a fix for that and as soon as we have time we are going to make a new better artifact page.

This game is great and all, but goddamn I can't PvP for beans and there's this one mission where I have to kill one person. I'm making so many enemies just trying to get one kill :(
