To use the meteor shower, you need to start it somewhere in space, not when you start from, Then aim it where you want to go. It'll open a portal which launches the meteors for you.

what are those helmets made of? they can take a rocket to the face that can launch a person into space but they dont even have a weak spot?

so close to winning, i shot a guy off a planet platform and he landed on the tinyest piece of land and then sniped me, rigged game, mocking my ability to win.

Could you consider implementing a screen drag system with the mouse instead of WASD? either a bump mouse to edges or maybe a click and drag? Shooting could then start with dragging from the character. ;)
