The best way to go is maximizing dual gems and using nothing but dual gems in every level. Trust me, I suddenly started doing WAY better.

It should show what gems are available in-battle, i keep forgetting. Like on the strip at the bottom where there's nothing there, needs something to indicate what color gems are allowed.

Reverse, it's easy to explain - Kongregate has a hard cap on most highscores preset by admins/mods, and they sometimes epicly fail at determining the cap. So your score will get deleted as well :(

Lael, you don't need to add them one at a time, consider adding a hundred at a time instead, you'll see how buffed up the big gem will become.

This game has a lot of depth and it seems like it would be awesome to learn the gem combinations and their effects and things, but there's just so much to learn that it seems impossible.

Grade 13 Prismatic Supergem - Damage: 4653-20246 - Range: 180 - Firing Speed:279 - +5 poison damage over 5 seconds...I just love how much poison damage this gem deals! The poison owns everything!

I have to say, this has got to be one of the best series of games in the "upgrade" category I've played in a long time. The attention to detail and great system in place for combinations and just the bare backbone solid system powering this game. Cheers.

The Gemcraft games are STILL among my favorites and I return to them again and again. There is just nothing else out there in tower defense that even comes close.

For Endurance Badge: Only use Orange-Red; Do not make any towers above grade 5; Start with traps at the entrance and build towers from the bottom right up then the bottom left up. This is from an old forum post. I added a Grade 3 blue at the start of the traps and a purple 6 middle right. By wave 70 something - I got the badge. Hope this helps someone.

great achievements in the game, dropping lvl 6 gem or higher on the icons. You only get them after beating the lvl however.

prismatic gems are useful if you have all 8 colors in a level and need firepower fast, and you already have a good mana supply. Also they have a pretty nice damaging ability, combined with stun, so a single fast prismatic placed in a trap can kill up to 6 monsters without any help. Yes, duals are better in terms of sheer damage, but it's specials that make prismatics shine.
To use anger, use gems as bombs against the stones on the left (those that have numbers and stats on them). Be careful though, you can end up with an unkillable wave if you overdo.

For the Badge of the day, it's easy to get. You just have to get to and beat the 3'rd level. That's where the first shrine is.

Tip 1. Don't rush trying to combine gems that are already in towers, try combine them in your inventory, then change it after the wave.
Tip 2. Look at the abilities for all your gems, good combinations are, Poison and Shock(Poison 1st), or freeze and splash damage.
Tip 3. Don't use Gem Bombs or Shrines unless you have 100- mana, wasting a gem may kill you in the long shot.
Tip 4. Traps are only good in a few situations. 1. if you have blue gems OR vs arcane guardians CYAN which can easily permanently 'shock' him forever.
2. If its a swarm level (use red/green)

I got the easy badge in 2009. I got the last hard badge today, just over 10 years later. Admittedly, I started over a bunch of times when I got a new computer. Worth it.

When I first started playing, I thought traps are useless. Now after a few hours of gameplay, I realized that a good gem to put in the traps are either the orange (steal mp) or the green (POISON). Having a grade 3 poison trap at the start or the fork of a level really weakens the foes for your other towers to finish off.

it took me two days of grinding to get the medium badge. there wasn't any fun, no feeling of encouragement, no satisfaction, nothing. i like tower defense games, i've beaten a few, but this is sheer madness. you progress is nothing but a crawl, it's so slow that you fell like you aren't progressing at all. all of you who have beaten this have nothing but my deepest respect. and my concern for your mental health...

primus01, if you failed to kill a thing before it reaches your wizard tower, you are to banish it, losing mana. If you're out of mana and have to banish something, you die.

alrighty alrighty let me explain now calm down...
activating a "shrine" is something you will find in level 5 or 6 or smth, i forgot.
a shrine looks like a one-block-tower with a rune on it. u have to drag a gem NOT DROP/BOMBARD to it, and it will release a special power (lightning, all gems change, etc..)
