Decades have passed since I started my quest to find the Gem of Eternity. A gem with miraculous powers - giving eternal life, opening gates to other worlds, commanding creatures, to mention a few... I have spent all my life playing this game.

Playing this again after finishing labyrinth makes it seem SO much harder. Only because I'm used to having more options now and the limit is annoying...especially the lack of pause and the inability to control what type of gem you are making. Just goes to show the series has come a long way, moving in leaps and bounds.

ok ... here are the 2 major flaws of this game : 1 it is too long but that's no new lol
2 your towers are wayyyy too stupid
example: yea there is that bunsh of stacked up monster 3 of them are poisoned and will die real soon but the others wont what does my toer always do ? well kill the poisoned ones of course >.> also 2 towers targeting the same monster is a waste if one is enough to kill it however the other monsters don't die because they were never targeted --'

As much as I like Labyrinth; this one is better in almost every way. The only thing the lost chapter is better in is the new elements such as mana shards. And if you seriously need explanation for simple games like these, your stupid.

I recommend skipping this altogether and going straight to GemCraft Labyrinth. The instructions in this one are few, and very vague. I've nearly completed Labyrinth, but with this version I can't even figure out how to create the correct gem type. Labyrinth is more in-depth, more strategy-based, and MUCH better explained, in my humble opinion.

why do you remove the save possibility by "text"...on the kongregate version?
i liked the feature as you could load your save file on other pcs.

You need to be able to gain experience points when you lose a round, there is no incentive to challenge yourself so every rounds is either too easy or potentially a waste of time in an already long game.

Like Acalix said,
This game is excellent because it is long and doesn't repeat, unlike other games... but the save method should be better, I actually backed-up a section of my pc so that I't would get saved, since I have tons of familiars that clear everything

Whoa, time really flows when playing this game. It's freaking big, and at the same time really addictive.. not even repetive. But that's how games are supposed to be, right? Limiting gaming is for the gamers to solve, so a 5/5 for me because of the great quality and size ;)

you create a random gem, but you can change their colour if you gem bomb an inventory row with a gem of desired colour. For this, invest in mastery skills and keep a gem of the required colour somewhere safe, and replenish your storage without using up all of the gems of that colour.

save game gone, normally i'd be like "well eff that s!" but not gemcraft o no.. i'll be diligent (obsessive even?.?) about not clearing caches, touching anti-virus programs, breathing so as to keep this save intact endurance badge! i shall endure!

here is a way to gain alot of mana, 1st make the mana gain mastery full, then at the beginning of any level make 2 traps putting in them the 2 gems of mana gain u started with them, + if u like
