I like it if you completed a lvl, you can get a whole new way of levels!
It's a really good idea and and there's one rule for this game i never forget:
Higher difficultie--> Higher rewards. Great game! 5/5

@superkoolguy - the newest sequel is Chasing Shadows - I think the order in the story is Labyrinth --> chapter 0 --> original Gemcraft --> Gemcraft 2: Chasing Shadows

I absolutely love that magic sphere on the minimap, indicating the experience multiplier you've gotten. My best is 14.8 so far :D

I just can't get enough of this game! I first discovered it during the Beginner's Quest, and I just can't stop playing it! Amazing game!

great game. but... whenever the gem has the orb within its reach, enemies seem to pass through while the shot is still traveling, which makes you lose an insane amount of shots. more often than not losing.

My strategy is that if you cant beat a level, do the levels you beat and are easy. You can get exp to level up and upgrade to try to beat that level.

Yes, find your local save for your current browser and copy it to desktop, then start a new game on the new browser and save it, locate this new save and replace it with your old save (if it doesn't work try renaming the old save to what the new one was called)

Now that i've played and finished gemcraft the lost chapter, I tried playing the other ones and...I can't stand it! Not that I hate them it's just that this game is improving SO FAST!

6,062,985,254 (over 6 BILLION): the cost of 20th shrine (with max building cost upgrade) if you are so inclined. 19th cost me 2.58 billion...

Well, this is amazing. I would almost buy it, except I would rather have a downloadable version than a "it should work online" version.

I quite shamefully just spent a good 8 hours tonight on this game; its better than 90% games I have played in my life! Thanks for making a boring night at work (lol) entertaining.

Oh, I see you're still struggling with that Giant monster wave...
It would be a shame if someone...
...SENT A SWARM your way...

It actually helps to never use low-grade gems on high-grade gems, since they can actually lower the high-grade gems stats!

this game is amazing. I've already beaten it twice, but i can't help myself from going back and playing it again. I like trying new strategies

Why can't they make the Final Stage Complete badge an impossible badge? oh wait, the points don't matter....but even so...

This game actually has the option to change sound level, not just a mute button. Finally someone who realized that I want to hear the sound, but don't want to change the sound in windows and all my other programs to not have my ears blown out. Hooray!

Shift-click on the gem you want to change targeting for. If targeting a tomb, keep cycling through until it says structures.

Here for the achievements, figured this game would take a while, but not this long. 24-36 hours in and not even 40% finished. I love TD games and this is brilliant.

@superancetre, the monster starting hitpoints is capped at 3.3 billion, it's not a bug. If you turn on "waves getting tougher faster", it's 9.9 billion instead. You can still raise that number by angering though.

Never mind, this is the finest gem-bombing arcane-blasting doomcreature-banishing tower-powering doomcreaure-defence game on kongregate.

Ultimately, I had to rate the game 4/5. I love it, and bought Premium to obsess over the numbers after I'd beaten the game... but the later game is a lot of repetitive work because you can't set the waves to be auto-bombed out of your mana, so you spend a lot of time making lesser gems to make stronger gems and have to stop the game every 12-13 waves to make a mass of the same throwaway gems and bomb the next few rounds X number of times, make more, bomb more, etc. It's a LOT of work for something that could be automated.

"By now you should have most, if not all of the Novice Amulets." *Checks Amulets page* ...I only have one... out of twenty... WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?! T_T
