Did you notice that you act like one of the monsters while traveling through the labyrinth? Don't notice it's tile-based and you can only go a predetermined path, while getting attacked from all sides? There you have it! At least it's more fun than getting killed, respawned and then killed again, over and over again...

Traps always go nicely with slow and/or shock. Endgame tower gems however limit your choice to Chain Hit and Multiple Damage, as they are the only ones standing a chance in the long run. This even excludes Chain Hit, if you are able to kill all monsters fast enough with just Multiple Damage Gems. A valid endgame strategy is always to amplify a single gem to max efficiency, at the start it's even better to just build amplifiers and put in grade 1 gems rather than upgrading them, despite the seemingly higher cost of building them.

Prismatic Gems (8 colors in one gem) were actually removed in this game, it's therefore a bad idea to go beyond pure/dual/triple (1-3 colors).

I think the premium version idea broke the game. Why ? Look at Gemcraft 0 it has all modes with premium i think for only some maps.

Speed Up Tip: Alt-Tab to another program, without rendering the game, it runs at max fps, this makes it much faster when more than 100 creeps are on your screen at the same time.

@nhoojn: Bloodbound lose effectiveness fast at high grades. Once your gem grade gets into double figures you should be switching to Chain Hit and Multiple Damage :) Just a heads up in case you get caught out in the later levels and wonder why your red gems aren't killing the monsters.

It actually helps to never use low-grade gems on high-grade gems, since they can actually lower the high-grade gems stats!

It's great how you added all these convenient tools like being able to craft gems while paused to not lose any game time. I also like how you can choose the type of gem you want so I don't need luck. Also you can duplicate gems so you don't have to do all the guesswork to get that gem. Thank you developer.

Third...forth? time playing through and I'm now positive that A12 is disproportionately hard compared to nearby fields. That place is a bitch.

The only downside is that a lot of times, you're forced to go through a certain map that you really don't want to do in order to progress. For example, I really dislike the maps with big open spaces, but I'm forced to go through field M10 in order to get anywhere.

Apologies, that part about disabling pepperflash in Chrome no longer works since the 11.7.700.169 adobe flash player update that came out a few hours ago. It seems you will have to take a more complex route if you wish to play your old games in Chrome.

@Daggz: It's not the game, games would never delete your save, that is pointless. Kong would not do it either. Try using a different browser, or if you are using chrome go to your plugins and disable Pepperflash (ask google how to do it if you don't know). If that fails, try looking through your hidden files for the save file (again, refer to google for answers if you don't know how to do this), once you have found it, move it to the folder your browser/Kong is currently using. I'm sure there is a forum on Kong telling you how to do this if you look around a bit. Also, BACKUP YOUR SAVEFILE; god... such an easy thing to do, but so few people actually do it. You are always pushing your luck and tempting fate when you don't have a backup.

Amazing Game 5/5. Only thing i would change is if you coldnt merge gems that werent th same grade. I've lost too many grade 10's to a laps in concentration...

All i do is crit/chain with 1 tower 8 amplifiers on giants only. Also start with the lowest amount of mana possible so your mana multiplier levels up much much quicker.

once you have the premium version and hit a certain level, it becomes quite easy. Still, I love how many details this game has. How many variations and ways to win the levels. Of course, only a few possibilities to create mana farms, but that is just a little piece of the game in whole. Am really excited for the new one!

@lackinglack1 Getting premium is about supporting the developer ^^ And there is enough hard stuff to do with endurance mode.

Trust me guys, Endurance mode (and the other premium features) make this game ultra trivially easy. You might think you want them, but once you get them the game is boring.
