Is this game even serious at all? So much work has been done. Why decide to put impossible amounts of swarm monsters in there? If you at least plan to disappoint your GemCraft fans, then at least do it with style instead of making them angry. I'm not following the news on GemCraft anymore, that's for sure.

Just a tip for anyone interested, chain lightning gems are all you need to beat 99% of the levels with all of the modifiers.

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. It's awesome, but I've been playing it for months now and I'm STILL NOT FINISHED.

very good games, lot of possibility with gem ( tower ) for kill the monster very good, but 5$ for premium, it's expensive

For those of you who keep having to restart because the game doesn't save when you clear history, leave cookies unchecked and it will save still.

Instead of having to reset skills before every single battle to max the specific color gem boosters, could you add a feature where you can just transfer skill points from one category to another? Or, since there's no penalty for resetting, just make the point allocation able to be changed at will without the use of a "reset skill points" button? It's an irritating blemish on an otherwise amazing game.

Ugh. I love this game, but it's punishingly difficult. Shadows don't award me points if I fail a level and if I didn't know better, I'd think the dev ratcheted up the difficulty to try and force people to buy the upgrade. Enticing people to buy it is one thing, but trying to force them is quite another.

@mikeliterus That strategy only works for the earlier stages, and beating the later stages with little to no multipliers set. Eventually the dmg output on the bloodbound is not enough. What you want to do is eventually set your skills up to build a good mana farm. What you want is either O-L-C or O-L-Y gems in a trap at the entrance of a map where the creeps enter. First you will need an 8 amped tower for defense while earning the required mana to build said mana farm (which is the trap). I prefer using O-L-C for trap and O-L-Y for the tower myself. With this setup, around lvl 50-ish your mana farm should start earning decent mana and the gem in the trap should be around lvl 8-10. Eventually you will be earning literally millions of mana a second. Be sure to set the Max Mana Pool skill to auto cast. I gave a really poor description of how to do it, and I suggest looking up vids on Youtube about it or reading the Forums here on Kong like I did.

If you don't already do it, i find it helps to already unlock blood bound gems before wave 1 (once you have the skills) to afford it and then just use them... they just own eventually, getting like 500 damage with a grade 4 gem... also if you have dual gem skill getting dual chain hit/blood bound is even more epic (especially against swarmers) and you can also get poison for boss killing. And the bloodbound mastery skill is a must.

You can drop gem bombs and blow things up while on pause. You can do just about anything while on pause. Too bad real life isn't like that.

The "armored only" setting is the way to go---it's easier than dealing with swarm monsters and earns you more points. It's almost cheating to do it.
