Okay, this is the second game in a row that isn't registering total kills or levels. Just to make sure it wasn't a matter of the bar not showing ongoing progress, I got 540 total kills and it's not registering. The bar for the second badge has not indicated any leveling yet as well.

To get all badges you'll need to cast manapool (M key) during waves to increase your score (and level) faster. As you level up, top out all mana upgrades and keep them that way. Then prioritize gem cost and building cost. Put what's left in gems and mastery (spend more in higher-grade gems and pure mastery) but invest all gem/mastery points in high-grade gems once you get them (put the remainder in pure mastery and lower-grade gems, but place those points in high-grade as well when you get enough points to do so). Use high-grade gems to max out every level you see. Finally, master pure mastery, then dual, then the rest. By then you'll be maxing out most stages first run through, dying only in later stages. NOTE - Manapool will be essential for completing later stages, but if used at the wrong time, it can and will kill you, so be wary when buying (to stay safe, have 2-3K extra mana in waves 25+ when expecting enemies to make it to the hut and 15K near epic bosses).

The only thing that annoys me is that the rollover boxes will freeze up my screen while the monsters are still coming. Tf

my moter also trow gewelry at me when i hit her but it doesnt hurt tis games unrelistic i dont get hurt by gewelry none gets hurt by gewelry

i feel like the medium achievement should be hard. not that its incredibly difficult to do but i think this may be the longest i have spent to get any medium achievement. i feel like wizard level 20 would have been sufficient.

@jonaman I actually defeated the final boss without a single purple gem, but i needed to it to make 3 laps (i killed it in the 3rd) to the map, but it worked because i used a lot of poison, slowing and shock gems that basically helped me to make him receive more poison, but i needed to store 14k of mana for those laps, but with the last skill that was easy

A question: Chain hit does chain only the damage or also the effects, i konw that spash doesn't splachs the effects, but chain hit does chains the effects? (poison, mana leech, etc...)

actualy you dont gimp yourself by playing on kong. armor perk is kind of useless until you max out everything else. because instead of putting points into armor, you could put them somewhere to prevent a base hit in a first place.
most important perks are mana/kill and starter gems.
they will make you realy strong. everything else is just for a little more comfort.
you have to figure out how mana production works. because its most probable that you made the game unplayable by doing this part wrong.
a little tip: read monster, spell and gem descriptions in this regard.

Once you get level 40 the rest of the game is a piece of cake.. just respec into starting high level gems and mana on kill and yawn your way through 30 more levels and a couple easy "hard" badges. 5/5 for pre level 40 gameplay though.

It is douchey to not make it clear straight away that I should just go over to ArmorGames if I don't want to gimp myself after a bunch of gameplay.

ChilliConCarnage, the mastery skills basically just increase the damage dealt by the respective gem. I want to know what the gem/monster hue means.

Ripped off. For the last stage, the only purple gem I got was the level 5 that I started with. How am I supposed to defeat armour of the gods with that?

love the game, and have played several of its successors, but man, its hard to get a glowing frame, currently around lvl 15 mage. have come to within 10,000 pts of a glowing.

It's really satisfying to continously upgrade my gems, and it's an interesting decision on whether I should spend large amounts of mana to get a high-tier gem, or gamble, and see if I get enough of one type of low-tier gem to eventually combine into a high-tier one. I also love how many different gems there are, how each color has it's own special effect, and how these effects can be combined to create a multi-purpose (although slightly weaker in both effects) gem.
